I have a load of McDonald meal toys still in their bags unopened I bought back in the early 90's in the UK. I would by two of the same. One for my daughter to play with and one for the advent of eBay to come along. Thing is I have never sold on eBay.
jdssurf (5 days ago)
They buy the video comes for the way the videos look on film, it’s different and fits if your making documentaries or films.
jdssurf (5 days ago)
Nah vintage is still stuff at least 50 years old. I’m 43 and my kid toys would be considered retro and that’s like early 1980s and such.

Anyone ever figure out why the idiots at thrift stores are writing the price with markers on the actual clothing tags, ruining the value of the cloths?

Popular Sports Teams shirts, hoodies and jerseys are usually easy to find but you might have to wait to the right season to sell.

Is there other options other than PayPal. I don’t like that 2.9%
Resale Rabbit (18 days ago)
Any credit card processor is going to charge 2.5-3.5%. PayPal is right in the middle on their fee.
Reseller Karen (18 days ago)
I want to list on eBay but nervous bout how long it will take to sell....I sell vintage items and broken apple products for parts
Resale Rabbit (18 days ago)
It’ll take much longer to sell an item if you never list it
David Mendez (21 days ago)
Next time you make a video like this you should put best place to find them.

Did you get the memo? Don't tell everyone, ultimately you'll be competing for inventory and also be dropping your prices as the market gets more and more saturated. Let people figure it out on their own.
Wow for gabby..........

Never thought about the blank media! I tend to deal only in collectibles that are valuable. They are rare, but you would be surprised what people will donate. Like I got a framed platinum album at Goodwill, and framed picture of Spongebob signed by the show's creator. Both went for several hundred days after posting them.
Jeff White (1 month ago)
But how do you know the items work properly?

Can someone explain how blank vhs tapes are profitable? Who the hell still uses those?

Can you ship walkie talkies with batteries in them??
vidform (2 months ago)
Excellent video! I'm new to your channel so I have a few questions: 1. Who buys the stuff you showed in your video? To me, it looks like old junk. WHY do people buy broken products from you? Do you customers ever thank you and explain why they decided to buy a broken item such as a broken iPod? 2. When you use the word "sell," are you saying that people simply purchase the item on ebay without having to bid for it? Or do people bid for the item in an auction? I ask because the last time I used ebay in the early 2000s, it was an auction site where people needed to bid for an item. It was a site for auctions, not purchasing. 3. Can you explain your return policy? I usually don't think of returning items thru ebay. Once you buy or win something on ebay, you either keep it or resell it on ebay, but never return it. 4. How do you handle your tax returns? Do you have to submit your profits to the IRS as earned income? Is there a special form you have to submit to IRS for the money you make selling on ebay?

Kevin S. (2 months ago)
very helpful info sir! help me out and say whether you list on of these items as an auction that starts at .99? or do you decide a price and list as buy it now? i'm terrified to list at .99 and get burned. thanks
George Vaughn (16 days ago)
Well of course you shouldn't cancel the sale!! I would leave a negative too. That's unethical and poor business. In general, I set my auctions to start at a price I'm willing to accept. +SUSAN boyd
SUSAN boyd (18 days ago)
I always do Buy It now at a set price, auction style you can lose money, and if you try to cancel the sale because you did not make a profit, the buyer will leave bad feedback, saying i bought if for 99 cents but the seller canceled bla bla bla bla bla

How long should you give items to sell before you pull the item?
David Kelsey (2 months ago)
If a battery operated item like a camera has acid leak in the battery compartment you can't always just expect to clean the acid out with vinegar. If there has been a bad leak and acid has got through to the wires in many cases the item will be dead no matter how much vinegar you use. Only buy item with minor acid leak.
Just Red Owl (2 months ago)
when you say that something can bring in "x" amount of dollars...is that in auction format or buy it now...just curious

I see the translators all the time in GW. I usually pass them up. On the cameras, Yes, you can find these all the time in GW and yard sales. I never buy the 35mm so I will research that. The cameras I do buy in a heartbeat are digital point and shoot that will use double A batteries and full size SD cards. If I find them with the box and manuals, I am even happier. I usually replace the date and time batteries, give them a 2 or 4 GB SD card, a small anti static cloth to clean the lens, a camera bag and a new set of batteries. I always state that the great feature of these cameras is they are small, take great photos and you can find batteries and SD cards for them in any civilized country in the world. Those always sell and are easy to ship. On the mechanical keyboards. I am a computer tech by trade. When I was at worldcom we actually put the keyboards in a dishwasher and ran it on the cold water setting. Just make sure the keys are tight and not falling off. Other than that, they simply need to dry out for a day or so and your good to go.

For those asking about how to figure shipping costs, there are a few options. You can either use FLAT RATE and just pick up the size box you need from the post office or order them online. The prices of each are listed on the usps website. This is rarely economical (it is for me since I sell heavy, small items across country) except buyers hate it when they buy a small lightweight item but have to pay $13.75 for a medium flat rate box. It also makes you look like s cheap seller because you're too cheap to buy a $12 scale to figure shipping costs. My favorite method is to spend $12 on a digital kitchen scale which will save you $$$$ in miscalculated fees. It can literally pay for itself in your first miscalculation. Weigh your item, measure your non-flat rate shipping box and plug those figures into the ebay listing page when you go to sell your item and ebay will do the rest when your customer buys. You can get free priority boxes from usps website, free boxes from Wal-Mart (go at night when they're stocking shelves) or buy a bundle off eBay for 25 cent a box for new brown ones. If you need to check the price of shipping an item ahead of time or if you're not using ebay, Google "usps shipping calculator" and once you pull that up, plug in your zip code and the farthest one away from you (that is if you don't know where it's going yet) along with the package information (weight and dimensions). I am in North Carolina so I always use my zip code then 90210 since that's the only zip code across the country that I know off the top of my head. This will give you the most expensive rate that it could be and that's what you charge. Don't forget to add $1 (or however much you want) to go towards fees, gas, packaging materials, your time, etc. You can either add this to the shipping amount or the listing price. Lastly, all packages under 13oz can be shipped first class for around $2.60-$4.00 depending on weight but you don't get insurance. Priority and first USUALLY take about same amount of time depending on where it's going but first isn't as guaranteed and CAN take up to a week. Hope this helps 😀

If you see any junked cookers check its elements those are always good money, because it costs so much to buy the replacement parts new but it's one of the things where if they break your cooker is fucked so people always look for them. And it's one of the things where if people buy a new one they will toss out in the street.
