it doesnt matter how well they are made. they will get dirty the same and its not worth it. all of them will look the same in a month of two. i prefer something cheap like H&M or other cheap brands that way i can get rid of them when they get dirty and get a new pair
Here is how I look at it.
I can say that I stand pretty well financially, but I was in situations, where I wasn't that 'privileged'(I was doing fine, but I did not have enough financial resources to buy premium sneakers on monthly basis).
All mentioned sneakers look dope, and for some of them, I can personally guarantee top quality, but here is the deal.
We will take Axel Arigato as an example.
Pair of Axel's are one of the most quality pair of sneakers on the World (without over exaggeration). When you walk in them, it feels like walking through the clouds. They are hand made from the top quality Italian leather, and they will last you for years to come (looking from the quality aspect).
But here lies the problem: They are also white!
When you sport a plain white sneaker, you will look like a most fashionable guy in the room (guarantee), and outfit combinations you can make wearing those are endless, but here is a thing; over an accumulated time span, they will get worse. Every white footwear, visually ages at double rate, as opposed to any other color.
That implies that very crease would be visible, every piece of dirt on them would be visible, and that also implies cleaning after almost every wear.
In attempts to clean those, you will damage them every now and then by brushing and cleaning, and after one season (maybe two if you take care of them with extra caution, and take them to revitalizations at various shops), you will put them at your shelf, and forget anything about them.
From the quality aspect, they will be there, but they will look like you went through a war campaign wearing them.
My conclusion is next.
If you are financially stable, go for it (for the next season, you can buy new ones)
On the other hand, if you're a little less fortunate, and you're looking at them as a long last investment, don't do it, cause you will make a mistake.
Buy a black pair instead, and for the season, opt for a little more affordable white sneaks, till your financial situation gets better...😎
@Super Saiyan 3
They're cool! Had a white pair; still, have a high one in dark blue. Most compliments I got wearing those, were when I combined them with light washed denim...one of the best combinations guy can make. Also goes well with a blue denim shirt, and a black pair of jeans 👖 ...
@Super Saiyan 3
No need to, but shit happens! Imagine that you capitalize your money, save up for the premium pair of sneakers, buy them and then, sneakers get ruined by an accident. That would create the need for another pair, and if you cannot create that particular money on that moment, you're screwed.
Black sneaker could last me about 1-2 years if the pair is premium, but I buy a new pair of white ones every 2-4 months because every pair tend to crease, and every scratch is visible (theyre white, and I usually wear the shit out of the pair, opposed to black or brown one, which I use only occasionally )
Someone likes to pull 'worn off' sneakers style, but for me, it just looks unsophisticated; like you don't have the money to buy a new pair, and the old one is visually unappealing..Maybe it's just me, but I like my stuff to look 👌...
I own a few pairs of Hilfiger sneakers and one pair of Hilfiger loafers. For that price, the deal is amazing.
They look pretty aesthetic, and they are pretty comfortable.
There is only one problem though! They crease a lot, and they are generally really 'sensitive' and destructible, so you really need to take good care of them if you want to wear them a lot; I'm telling you this from my p. experience.
I treat mine after almost every wear, and they are still looking to kill.
With Axel, I don't have that problem.
Gazelle shouldn't be in white, it's just wrong.
Great alternatives for low/mid tier are:
-puma basket classic
-nike blazer low
-onitsuka tiger mexico 66
Especially for shorter and slimer men like myself.
Another question: Did you have to break into the axel arigato clean 90 sneakers? Did the ankle part caused you any blisters/ discomforts?
Important question to really help me make the decision for purchase.. thx :))
To be fair, CP sales are relatively common (pardon the pun) nowadays and bring them to roughly the same price as the Arigatos and Koios. If they're all the same price I'd take CPs any day. Greats is a brand that makes minimalist white sneakers and falls in that mid-high tier price range that would be worth considering, although I love my CPs and would recommend anybody hold out for them.
Don't buy those Arigato shoes. They are so good looking+premium leather so I bought them for 180€. I gently cleaned it once with a tissue, the white painting on the leather just went away leaving place for grey/dark spot. More I clean it more it turns awful. I can't believe 200€ shoes are worst than 30€ Stan Smith. What's even worse : their customer service won't deal with me since I bought the shoes from one of their retailers Coggles. Even though this is about the shoes quality produced by Axelo Arigato.
Wheres the GREATS???? They’re an American 🇺🇸 Company! Where’s the love for our economy and helping out the little guys? You might have fashion savvy but lack patriotism bruh. Being stylish and helping out good ole USA, never hurt anyone.
The arigato writing on the Axel's I wouldn't call it branding, arigato means "Thank you very much" in Japanese. So I think that makes them even cooler. Like your style and your videos are on point. Arigato lol
@KingDavid Hmmm okay, I think it's a JD thing but some shoes come smaller sometimes an the smaller 7s seem to fit me better so maybe I'm a 6 and a half. I have read a few reviews on amazon and reebok website (which is where I'm ordering from) and a few say to go half size down. I think I'm gonna go for half size down what you reckon . Thanks for your reply aswell you aint gotta reply again if you don't wanna
