Please watch: "Finding Treasure At The Thrift Store To Resell Online!"
Dang what state do you garage sale and thrift in? I swear everyone wants MSRP here, when I go out to thrift. Can you tell me things that you say or try to do to get the seller to lower the price? I’m always worried I will offend someone.
Thanks for all the information you are sharing. You said something interesting in this video that I have a question about. You said you run your business based on total sales not individual items because you sell so much. I can't wrap my mind around not knowing the price you paid per item. How do you track your profits? Thanks
Happy to share :) so we track by bulk purchase, so if we buy $5,000 worth of product in a week we'll track those items in bulk not individually if that makes sense, we don't really care about the profit per item, more the profit per lot.
Do you do auction style or buy it now and do you allow offers or use reserve price?
What is the best way to ensure that you're not going to start something at $0.99 and it's going to end up selling solo give you the not made a profit or its cost you money
I really love your videos. I watch every one. As I watch a lot of eBay videos on youtube, I feel like videos for more advanced sellers is missing. There isn't really a vlogger out there who makes videos for people who kinda know what theyre doing on eBay already. I think this series you are doing is really good. I love the "what did we sell this week" is great. I think something that would really add more to it is telling me about your returns and your defects on a weekly basis. I had some returns this week that just PISSED me off. I sold a pen (14K gold) for $50. It was in really bad shape. In the listing, I said it was in bad shape, that I knew very little about it and that the pen was sold "AS IS". The day the buyer got it, they opened an INAD and said there were things not mentioned in the listing. While this could've been true, I mentioned that I knew nothing about the pen, I did not know about the inkwell not opening, this is the reason it was listed at $50 while others were selling for $300. I think this will help advanced sellers as well as newbies. My biggest set back as a newbie was things just like this. I've never heard a Vlogger just come out and be honest about the scammers and B.S. we have to put up as sellers. Its not always the buyers fault either. Sometimes I make mistakes when listing too, it sucks!! Again, love your videos! Thanks for taking the time to teach!! :)
Just about skipped the video based on the outfit. Had to read the small print to reconsider😂. I really like this video topic. Helps me become familiar with recognizable items that sell and approximate price. I still look at everything and will occasional grab an item that does not have a lot of history. The long shots are fun.
how are you making the listings you sold private/the item is out of stock so you cant see when you search through ebay once sold but you can google search it and comes up under your name? seems like you are putting it as inventory quanitity? its linked to your hiplion ebay name so you only have one ebay store? just say you are blocking the listings not have another store....seems a little shady bro. the blatz came up under your name but other items had to search through google. either way suspect. but your g/f is hott atleast, tell her to do her hair blonde ....atleast you are doing numbers not like rockstar flipper just saying one thing and doing another.and acting like his thrifts pay for his car payment he's not making money like he was when he was doing phones back in the day hes gonna have to get that van soon....hahaha keep flippin. and finding
Pokey Pauley First, Allison is my wife. Have a bit of respect “bro” Second, it’s really really easy to find our sold items. We list G2C and end the listings once the items sell, not hiding anything, that’s how ebay works, they don’t go into the sold comps. Third, we have multiple stores, see when you have a real business you can run multiple things under different names. You should really think about asking questions in a humble way and maybe you’ll get the answers you’re looking for. You clearly have a lot to learn. Cheers.
Apropos of nothing, really, but I am from St. Louis and went on point when you showed the Blatz beer tray because 35 years ago or so, I worked with & was friends with, a woman who had married into the Blatz family!
Funny how stuff pops up in life!
These videos are SoOoO awesome!! So detailed yet simple and quick!
I would like to see how you guys test out items before posting them? Like games, electronics?
Also what is a common mistake that you guys have done on a listing? Or missed defect on something and you lost money from it?
Hey Ryan and Alli! Quick question, my fiance and I went dumpster diving 🙈 and found a huge box full of used video games. My question is, do you check all your games to make sure they work before listing and selling them?
I will take your advice and try the free shipping method with make an offer and leave it open so it does not auto decline... Will have to try a bunch of different items and see where it takes me... Need to get a couple hundred auctions up by end of next week... thanks - have a great sales week!!!
I am trying to decide on how to offer our items for sale - such as $1 auction with $11.99 - 14.99 for shipping or include both and offer free shipping and give the seller an option to make an offer? We will have to try a couple of different ways to see what works best...
Now we have to list it and get it sold and shipped... Bigger items we sell on local markets and the small items we ship... to maximize our profits... That means that we have to also start listing on eBay as well...lol
OMG...the HAT! And SLEEVES! You look very different! For a minute I thought someone hijacked your channel! (Until I heard Ryan's voice and saw the familiar tattoos...) Congrats on your sales. ☺ I had my fastest sale EVER on Sunday night...sold an tube of beauty cream within a MINUTE of posting the listing! ☺ I had just typed a comment about your live show/Lychee/my old dog, which made me start crying. The cha-ching startled me, but did boost my spirits a bit. ❤ Glad that Ryan seems to be feeling better. Still keeping Lychee & your family in our thoughts and prayers! ❤❤❤❤
hahaha! thought I'd change it up a bit ;) That is awesome! Congrats on the sale :) beauty care stuff sells very well. Thank you, we are monitoring lychee closely and we will keep you updated! Thanks again Jen!
Great video as always! Your channel is a great motivator (it even motivated me to finally sign up for a youtube account so i could subscribe and ask you a few questions! haha by the way the advice you gave was spot on!) Thanks so much for all of the information you provide! I have been tweaking my listings as you suggested in your live show, and sales are up on stale items! Every time a follow one of your suggestions they work like a charm! All the best!!!
I picked up a lot of Skylanders figure things at Goodwill for $7 and was wondering if I’d make anything on them. Looks like it was a good buy! I sell mostly women’s clothing and accessories, trying to diversify 😊 your videos help! Thanks for another great one!
My favorites of your vlogs are these "what sold" videos. Keep 'em coming. I wish I had 10% of your good fortune with my inventory, and lots are shoes, listing them right, good photos, good ratings, Ebay is slooooooooow for me, what can I say?
I've elected myself as head of security😂😂 RalliRoots dont have to explain how much you paid for an item! That's just down right noise! So to whom ever is asking how much they paid for an item. You shouldn't ask and here's why they have been reselling for sometime now and they know what works and sells for them. Now what works for them and their store just may not work for you and your store🤦🏽🤦🏽. They can spot an item and know how it will move and just like with anything else if they're not sure they research and look it up. Hey you DO THE SAME..😂 They have clothes and many other things in their eBay store, but hard goods may just be for you clothes may not move in your eBay store. So come on now stop it! Ask some other questions like what got you into eBay, or are salvation army's better then goodwill. They buy so many items and when they finish shopping they already tell us what they pay for it. Awesome video and🙌🏽 hope I don't sound mean but some people are just over board.. Waiting on the next one
