I use payability and it's well worth it if your a fulltime seller. The daily cash flow is do useful to keep buying inventory rather than having to wait weeks to see your money. Especially handy for this time of year. I can spend 2k a day and get most of it back the next day and keep selling. If you use their new debit card it negates the fees too.

Love you guys and don't mind the sponsorship at all, you deserve it and don't have to apologize!! Awesome to get some info on FBA again, not sure how I missed this one!

What scanner is most popular for Amazon? I'm on eBay, Poshmark and Mercari but I'd like to venture into Amazon however its intimidating. I don't like the Amazon Seller app scanner, and that may mostly be because its confusing.

I hope Amazon never takes away the daily payout option for us older sellers that are grandfathered in. Payability is a great option for those who don't have daily payouts. I'm hoping the two week payout system doesn't happen at eBay when they switch payment processing from Paypal. Another thing to beware with Amazon is that just because you're ungated with a brand, doesn't mean you won't be gated someday, even while having inventory in FBA. Then you have to get it all back and sell it elsewhere, like eBay, for less money.

Another great video Ryan! This is off topic, but what kind of shirt is that that you’re wearing? Lol..I like it a lot! Thanks man..

Great video, the only thing I would add to this, is that you cant buy from Amazon from prime sellers and send back into Amazon, its against there T & C's. (But its ok to gt from merchant sellers)

When I go onto auction zip all I see are used things. How do you find new things on that site?
Koyunbaba Enterprises (8 months ago)
Guys - so glad to see you've got a sponsor, but I have to say I had an extremely negative experience with this company. The daily payments feature is very nice while it's happening, but you have to understand - they're not charging 2% of your sales, they're giving you a loan against your receivables. So if you have a lot of returns in a short period of time or if you are using Amazon sponsored ads, you'll owe money to payability that never would have been paid by Amazon. When I decided I didn't need payability at the beginning of this year, they told me I still had SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS outstanding that I "owed" them. Because I didn't have a clear understanding of their true costs at the beginning, I began the year with a hole I had to dig out of. If you DO go with this company, understand the risks and all of the costs, as I feel they fail to make them clear at the outset. Anyway - love your content Ralli Roots - keep up the great work.
RALLI ROOTS (8 months ago)
Koyunbaba Enterprises thank you. So sorry to hear that. Yes, it’s super important to understand the product you’re getting before you take the leap. Used the right way it’s great but yes of course things like returns and ads have to be paid. Always do your due diligence 😊

The Wins of Change (8 months ago)
I’m looking to buy in bulk. Not sure what though. I do a lot of ra and thrifting. With online sourcing most of the time it will take a few week from purchase to being available on amazon. By that time the items for me are usually selling at a price I lose money. Locke better products I guess but it adds extra risk and turn over time imo

I've seen several Amazon customer returns unboxing videos. Seems like people swap out their old item for a new one and return it. People also seem to return seasonal items after using them. Do you get a lot of Amazon returns?

I just have to say, Ryan, you create GREAT content, you shoot and edit it well, snag great royalty free music and share REALLY good information. You were bound to get sponsored sometime! And I'm sure your mentoring group is amazing-look what you do for free <3 I re-watched a video you made on starting out reselling: "eBay & Amazon Reseller: Can you make $52,000/yr selling stuff online?" I had watched it initially about a year ago. I realize now how much of your philosophy I have absorbed but I didn't realize it came from you until I re-watched the video. Dude (and Alli and Callie and your bro etc) THANKS FOR THE HELP. Props and appreciation <3

Erati243 (8 months ago)
Why do you seem to be so against drop shipping?
RALLI ROOTS (8 months ago)
@Erati243 no worries at all. Not saying it can't be done :) just saying to be careful out there!
Erati243 (8 months ago)
@RALLI ROOTS I do not have a method, only just started reselling (because of watching your channel, so thanks for that!). I was just curious about the major bias when both seem to be so similar in most aspects. Thanks for taking the time to provide a conversational answer instead of getting upset, I appreciate that as well.
RALLI ROOTS (8 months ago)
Erati243 I would like to put the ball back in your court. Change my viewpoint, if you have a “drop shipping” method that actually works prove it :) send me an email [email protected] I say that because 1 out of 100 “dropshippers” I’ve talked to aren’t running legitimate businesses. There’s always that 1% but that’s why I say 99% of drop shipping is BS.
Erati243 (8 months ago)
@RALLI ROOTS I am not trying to be a dick, I love your channel, i would however like to understand your viewpoint. I really don't understand what you mean when you say 99% is BS. You as a reseller buy items at a low price, take them home, list them and either ship them to amazon or to a buyer on ebay making a nice profit for your time and the laziness of your buyers. Drop shipping is the same with the only difference being the item for sale is simply listed for a higher price and essentially using an Amazon FBA'esque approach to shipping while also again taking advantage of peoples laziness. Could you provide a little more insight into why you feel your method is better or more honest?
RALLI ROOTS (8 months ago)
Just not a fan. 99% of it is BS

I'm doing books now for fba. I see the total benefit of doing wholesale. I'm new, a month in, I want to expand and do everything but I have to take a breath. I am a vet and not scared of work and this is good because I can work for myself, since I have had issues feeling comfortable. I'm stressing myself out wanting to grow and do more. I'm not sure what to do next.

Enjoy your vids and the great info you provide. In this video, you mentioned that you buy inventory from auction, eBay and even Amazon to flip on Amazon FBA. Could you please clarify 2 things: 1) Isn't it against Amazon's TOS to buy from Amazon then flip to Amazon prime buyers 2) How do you provide proof of authenticity of the products you purchase on Ebay and at auctions? You don't have that problem with your purchases from distributors and manufacturers (and can usually get away with buying from retail stores) but what happens when a customer files a complaint against your product bought on Ebay or at a local going out of business auction? I thought the safe thing to do is to sell products purchased without retail receipt/distributor/manufacturer's invoice on eBay or other non- Amazon e-commerce platform. Thanks.
Chendavdpc (8 months ago)
your response would be greatly appreciated.

Kathryn Kay (8 months ago)
Thanks for sharing your vast knowledge for obtaining merchandise! I am not on Amazon right now, still trying to get products for my eBay store to sell. I think one reason some people gives up on reselling is they try to get into to many platforms at one time before they even get one moving in the right direction. I am sticking to eBay for now and will look into another platform when I am financially ready.
RALLI ROOTS (8 months ago)
Kathryn Kay totally agree and that is a great point. It’s always best to master one platform before adding another.

Have you ever tried alibaba ? I like some of the handmade linen they sell but it is kind of hard to understand what Im actually buying and the communication is lacking due to the different languages . Thank you for the videos, I really learn a lot.
RALLI ROOTS (8 months ago)
rocky jaydog we’ve bought from Allibaba for our own “private label” items. Items we’re putting our own brand on, but buying and flipping generic products from allibaba is a pretty big risk.
Income Strategy (8 months ago)
Most importantly that no one talks about with FBA. Once you buy a product I.e. widget it may take 2 months (sometimes less) or more to get your return on your money. Between the time you purchase the item till the time Amazon actually enters it into their system then it may take 30-180days before it sells. Then on top of that if you don’t do a lot of volume it takes Amazon 2 weeks to pay you once product sells. Oh and when you send the item in you have 2 weeks to pay for the shipping all up front. So, I purchased $6,000 worth of products and I may not see my $40,000 in return money (return on investment) for 6 months for that product. Not everyone can do that because most Americans live pay check to pay check. I could go on and on about this but most of these (Not you Ryan) gurus don’t tell people this and they get theirselves in debt and makes their life worse. Just my 2 cents of owning businesses for the past 20 years.
Interesting World (4 months ago)
I find that both of your discussions (you and rally) are very interesting and informative
Matthew Swarner (7 months ago)
@Income Strategy How much are you typically paying for an item that makes you $75 or more in profit and how long does it typically take to sell? Thank you!
Matthew Swarner (7 months ago)
Thrifty Truckers...You typically buy $6,000 worth of product to send to Amazon and get a $40,000 return? That's incredible, even if it takes six months. So, if I invested $30,000 in products, I could possibly see a $200,000 return within six months? If these numbers are even remotely realistic I'll be doing backflips when I start the Ralli Roots mentoring program starting January 1st! I wouldn't be disappointed at all with those kinds of results! It surely beats the pants off of anything I've ever done before, that's for sure. However, I'm sure you're getting that $40,000 return little by little over that six month time period.
Income Strategy (8 months ago)
D CarrStar, We have been selling on Amazon for over 2 years and have done well. I am simply trying to make a point. Ryan does not do this but a lot of so called Gurus do. They are now starting to tell people to borrow money to do this and it’s wrong. We have owned over 10 businesses for the past 21 years I know a thing or 2! Wait till a downed economy happens and people are losing their houses and cars because they put theirselves in a bad situation. I will be there to buy their house for pennies on the dollar like we did on the last downed economy.
D CarrStar (8 months ago)
@Income Strategy It all comes down to THOROUGH RESEARCH, picking a business model, i.e. retail arbitrage, online arbitrage, wholesale, private label, etc. and DON'T be a complete egghead. Meaning don't research and analyze until you get analysis paralysis. Believe in yourself, plan, fill yourself with the courage to take the calculated risk, then GO 4 IT... HARD... until you succeed accepting no road block, closed door, setback, or shortcoming. Speaking from experience!
LQD INFO (8 months ago)
Great video Ryan! Good information... Drop shipping is not easy, but I am doing well with it by selling generic products or no name products for the last 7 years. Also we do retail arbitrage online and physical locations, estate sales, garage sales, thrift store hunting, auctions online and physical as well. We have done returns and it is a lot of work. By doing different things it's never boring. I like to ship items that I sold from my location. Next year, I will try to do the Amazon in Canada and see how it goes and to add another avenue to sell products that we get from wholesalers locally or in the USA. Just working on the keyboard is boring so we do different things to keep it interesting. Thank you for sharing! Sponsored videos are ok too! lol Have a great sales week! Joe B from Canada! PS selling men's button down shirts, getting good $$$ for them... Thanks to you guys!
Mike C. (8 months ago)
If anyone goes down the route of wholesale or online retail sales - be aware that average margins are 20-35% buying from large, A to B distributors. If you are looking for larger profits, search for very large closeout companies. Smaller closeout companies are OK, but often lack multiple pallets of the same product available (ability to re-purchase). Your ability to re-purchase items for wholesale is important and really helps the consistency and growth of your company. The “bread and butter” items. Awesome video Ryan! I’m an amazon wholesaler nice to see videos related to distribution.
