That "bad" GW sounds like the one we went to in Pittsburgh. We went after a trip to the bins and it was such sticker shock that I don't even think I bought 5 items. I am binge watching y'all vids today while listing
Currently I run 4 miles 3-4 times a week and do deadlifts once a week to build/strengthen the muscles in my back (If i don't my back hurts thanks to a lovely car accident) Buuut we want to start mountain biking soon!
❤️❤️ vacationing in Destin! I went to a Goodwill in Destin several years ago (I think it was actually the one you stopped at) with the same thoughts...wealthy area...potentially some good finds. I was VERY disappointed! The clothing was very worn out and not worth even half of what they were asking. Left empty handed. Hope you two enjoy your trip and safe travels. ❤️❤️ your videos!! P.S. Alli, you look adorable sporting your fanny pack 😄
That first Goodwill is like the swankiest thrift store I have ever seen! It looks like you could eat off that floor. I'm not surprised the prices were ridiculous. But where I live, the thrift stores in the pricey areas are usually the cheapest--go figure!
hey, the quick answer is networking. start contacting people, look for sellers in your area. Nobody is just going to give you their sources and tell you where to buy/sell. you have to figure that out for yourself, takes hard work. cheers.
Another awesome vid, you two! Destin is more beautiful than I imagined. I have a semi-random question: Do you guys have any experience buying pallets via Bulq.com? I'm in heavy research mode on how to source pallet purchases...
@rallyroots: Great to see you guys in the Panhandle! I'm in Pensacola and we have many sourcing opportunities in the area with thrift stores. Sundays are best with $1.49 or half off on almost everything in the store. Also, Foley, Alabama has a slew of outlets for RA. Lastly, Military and retirement town = moving and estate sales all day. Safe travels!
Welcome to my world guys. While I tell everyone we live in Paradise, I'm sorry to say we are hard pressed to find good items
at our Goodwill stores and especially for a reasonable price. Like Teresa, I also go to the Goodwill bins in Panama City or Pensacola....but neither one of them compare to the bins in your part of FL. Enjoy your stay
As a reseller myself I think it is funny how we complain about thrift store prices and then turn around and sell those items for 2-3 times that much to someone online. Not hating I do the same exact thing haha You two are adorable 💕❤️ This series was a great idea
Allisonsbeautyboutique the thrift stores receive the items for free. And most people donate in good faith to help the less fortunate. Thrift store pricing is getting ridiculous being as though they get it free. But what can we expect now that everyone makes videos bragging about how much $$ they make
Allisonsbeautyboutique true..we were more pointing out that $10 for a used tshirt is a lot of money for an average person to pay at a thrift store. Not a reseller. Especially when goodwill is getting the items for free.
Yup and in front of Old Time Pottery. Have they done a remodel of that store? I haven't been in that one in ages...I usually stay away from Goodwill stores in our area...especially since they did away with all the special sale days. The only one that seems to have any kind of sale is the one on Beal and Racetrack (that one was in this video also) they usually have the shirt sale thingy 3 for $9.99 but nothing else but they are an Easter Seals Goodwill
We live 45 minutes from there in Milton, Florida by Pensacola. That is one of the reasons we moved to the area because of the Emerald Green Coast!!!! We love that part of Florida. Highway 98 all the way to Ft.Walton Beach is a treasure trove of thrift stores. Btw we are literally in Orlando right now getting ready to head over to the outlet again and bins. Lol!
What is so funny that just a couple years ago that goodwill looked so much better and had a Island feel to it with prices that was not like that. So upset y'all missed some of the best stores and they are not goodwills. I miss that place lived there for 10 years.
Yess Youtube crack! lol. New York Thrifter started doing a road trip where she thrifted along the way and wanted to see if she could fund her trip with her finds...but then all the hurricanes came and haven't heard from her since hmmm
