When you throw sneakers into the wash, do you put anything on the inside to keep the shape of the shoe? I've run new balance in the machine and then they all crunched looking. I also use mostly Kiwi brand stuff for leather and lanolin conditioner (which I put in the description that shoes were conditioned actually boosts sales of full price) but that shoe stuff for the bottom you painted on, I've never seen before, thanks for the tip!
Hi, thanks for the information.. I see that people sell WELL WORN or TRASHED shoes,,then say that before postage, the shoes /socks will be cleaned to ebay standards and regulations..what exactly are these standards and regulations please? This is pretty confusing as if someone wants to buy a pair of dirty shoes, they would be disappointed if they are posted clean , polished and brushed..thanks
Thanks for the tips, I have heard if the shoe smells a little, or even if it doesn't, if you put a dryer sheet in the shoes and leave it to sit overnight it can make them smell less, or smell even better. Nice tips guys thanks.
I’m experimenting with dryer sheets. My daughter smokes mmj for her cerebral palsy, & we received a complaint about a pair of shoes smelling like smoke. Not sure how to address that with buyers. Maybe be upfront with the fact that our products come from a mmj home? Any thoughts Alli & Ryan?
Really great content in this video - I just ordered the supplies from Amazon. Have a question that is totally off subject. When you ship the large Home Depot boxes to your mentees, which vendor do you use? Thanks!
New subscriber here. Love your videos and the information they contain, very helpful. Question: How will you handle the new PayPal policy on customer returns. It states, "We’re changing how we treat refunds. If you refund (partially or fully) a transaction to a buyer or a donation to a donor, there are no fees to make the refund, but the fees you originally paid as the seller will not be returned to you." In the past PayPal would refund those fees, now they will not. Here is the link https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/upcoming-policies-full
RALLI ROOTS, I wanted to say thank you for making your videos! My wife and I started 4 months ago with 0$ And have grown to 5k in sales ( in 4 months) All my knowledge comes from watching you both. Much thanks from Ohio!
Hey guys, I just had to share this because it's funny. I was watching reruns of my favorite show The Big Bang Theory, and on the episode called 'The Desperation Emanation' from 2010, Sheldon is wearing a The North Face jacket to hide from Amy. Back then, I wouldn't have noticed or cared, but as a new reseller, I noticed. Weird!!!
Thank you for this video. I've heard of Kwik products but not the Angelus. Nice touch with the edge dressing. Didn't know that existed. Learned something new. As always this was perfectly timed. I was just hauling out some shoes to work on.
Great video! Wonderful tips! ... Sometimes when we need a fast way to clean/condition leather shoes & leather jackets we use Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather 3-in-1 Cleaner/Conditioner/Protectant. It is designed for car leather interior, but works really well on leather shoes & jackets. Best wishes! -Steven
i found this old florida gators sweater that looked 90s that i love a few years ago at a thrift shop i don’t want to sell it or anything but i noticed today it has a rah rah sales at the bottom of the back full logo is that like a thing that could date how old this is
I Really love the Alli and Muchie Video. I smell everything also. I just thought everyone did. Thanks for the shoe cleaning tips I keep picking up shoes to sell and have them on the table to clean and keep skipping them just cause I am not sure how to clean them up Now I know. I will get to them next . Thanks
come from a military family, when dad was shining his combat boots, he always did the spit shine, spit on em a little bit when buffing, really helps the shine. If you are anti spit, then a few drops of water works
I love your haul and thrifting videos too, but I love these. Leather is so awesome because you can bring it back to life like magic.
I share your videos all the time 😊👍 great job Allie and Ryan 💕Hope all is well.
Thank you so much for sharing. Part Time Pickers gave you guys a wonderful shoutout I’ve been watching your videos from oldest to newest and having so much fun. I also just found Part Time Pickers and think he will go far on uTube. Hoping you guys will check out his videos and give him a shoutout. I’m going to tell other uTube people to check out Allie making rough shoes look brand new. Thank you so much for the excellent tutorial. ❤️
I bought a bulk lot of used shoes recently and found some air jordan 1's, allen iverson throwbacks, amongst other good shoes. Probably looking at $750-$1k profit after fees COG overhead on about 40 pairs out of 100, gonna donate the rest. I use angelus shoe cleaner too and a brush for polish. I don't do many leather shoes so I've never gotten into polish/conditioner, I don't think there's anything like that for sneakers/vans.
The soles only & not the leather is what you mean, right? I was married to two Army Reserve men & never once saw them clean their boots, so I have lots of questions now that I’m finding myself in the business of restoring shoes. Recently I took a pair of great cowboy boots to a pro boot shop & asked the guy manning the counter that day if gouges in the heel leather could be repaired. He told me about how he repaired his boots in Vietnam by dripping candle wax onto the gouges & then brushing the wax away. One of these days, when I find a beat up pair of solid leather boots, I’m gonna try candle wax & hairspray for repairs. See what happens.
Thanks for another fantastic video! Some UGG FYI: I personally own 7 pairs of UGG Boots in addition to our daughters 4 pairs. I have also purchased several pairs from swap meets & Goodwill. I always throw UGG Boots into the washing machine with warm water - 1 pair per load - nothing else in the machine with them (this method is not recommended by UGG but works great for me - I've never had a problem and it washes them on the inside as well as the outside.) I use liquid GAIN laundry detergent only. I have sometimes had to wash them 2 to 3 times in a row to remove all (or at least most) of the dirt. Once they are washed, I stuff them with non printed newspaper and air dry them. Once dry, I then use the brush tool provided in the UGG cleaning kit, to remove any excess dirt or scuffs as well as brush the sheepskin out. They always turn out great - I have had several of these boots for many years now and they still look awesome after many washings. I first tried this method out because I refused to re-sell boots that had not been washed inside & out, and was very pleasantly surprised. This also helps the boots regain their original shape! :)
I do a lot of shoes. I use soft scrub and a tooth brush carefully for Vans and ones similar. I but sneaker cleaner and a brush for cleaning the soles and some top. Magic erasers work well but breakdown super fast.
The only thing I think about every time I hear Alli say "soft and supple", is how soft and supple she truly is herself!!!!! Thumbs up for more solo-Alli videos yes plz!! (no offence to Ryan.....it's just that I have a super huge lust/crush thing for his woman that I cannot control cause she is so SEXY HOT & BEAUTIFUL!!)
Awesome. I’ve been waiting for this video 👍. One other tip for the white Rubber part on cloth type shoes that can’t be machine washed is to use aMagic eraser. I just cleaned up 4 pair of Adidas hemp shoes and the magic eraser was pretty effortless to clean the edges 👍🥰. Thanks guys helpful as usual. Happy Birthday again Allie.
Ps. Can you believe the storm that’s happening right now😳 North Port, Fl here 👊
Alli i also smell everything , shoes , clothes, if i open a bottle of anything i will smell it , i even smell bottled water before i drink it, its a habit, very helpful information on cleaning shoes thank you
Alli’s sniff test rocks! As I’m learning how best to prepare shoes for resale, I’m learning each product has a unique smell. Goo Gone has a smell. Chemical Brothers cleaner & conditioner have different smells. Sometimes the shoes I buy smell like smoke, (cigarette/medical marijuana/campfire), so I smell the shoes after applying a neutralizer to make sure they don’t stink.
Great video. Reminded me of my dad shining his shoes. He worked in sales in the 60s and wearing casual shoes were a no-no. He had a box like yours and all the polishes and 60s-era cleaners. He's been gone for 51 years and I still miss him every day.
You can also use a magic eraser to get the white part white again. Works awesome on vans, adidas, crocs... all sorts of shoes with white.
To be safe, use one brush for buffing black shoes and a second for brown. Otherwise you can make your cream colored stitching discolor.
Good Evening and Happy Easter for you and your Familys...when you put on the polish you can wait ca 20 Minutes before you brush the shoes , then they will shine much more brighter :-) , the polish must be dry first
As a horse woman this is something that is standard in my tack cleaning kit... Is great for any leather. If your going to be doing a lot of shoes is worth it. https://www.chewy.com/fiebings-saddle-soap-paste-horses-12/dp/133763?utm_source=google-product&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=hg&utm_content=Fiebing%27s&utm_term=&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4-XlBRDuARIsAK96p3CQ591uNSFXKOU1Kkr-ecqduZyG9Q6BbDID1QIBuQZVgXDoqOiFxAgaAnObEALw_wcB
