Last week while shopping at my local walmart I saw xbox 1 games on clearance in a case. They had rocksmith 2014 remastered for 10 bucks. I bought all 10. I sold 8 to a friend for 50 each and 2 on ebay for 63 each in Less than 24 hours. Always keep your eyes open when in a retail store. Never know what kind clearance price you may stumble across.
FYI... I'm all in... Literally sell off every personal item I can to make this happen... I told my wife I want to write a million dollar check and cash it by this time frame next year 🤔😎😎😎
I'm new to this...I opened an eBay account over the summer failed first time out... No sales... Currently working on getting my amazon FBA going but need money to get it over the hill... So I'm doing anything I can to hurry up and make an income... My family needs it and are depending on me to make money again... Hurt my back in February had to sell of my childhood dream (trucking business) I drove logged trucks for 4 years... We do to bills I had to sell off a lot... And not able to do my labor intensive trades... So I'm on a major feet first crash course in my new adventure.... I'm able to move freely enough to do this type of work.... Any pointers would be great... I'm trying to pull off Christmas to... Which was really close to not happening what so ever... But know I stand a chance... Do you suggest auction or buy-it now... I went to a local auction and got a bunch of stuff ...
Have you been able to find merchandise being sold at regular retail prices that you've been able to still make a good profit on? Another video poster said that he got most of his retail arbitrage items from regular retail priced items and not just from the clearance section.
I am doing retail arbitrage and purchased 5 items that I can potentially make $50 profit off of. 4 of the 5 items are different. Amazon wants me to break up my shipment into 3 different locations. That KILLS all my profit. What do you suggest?
What happens if you ship an item as media mail if its not media mail?
Only reason i ask is because i did that a couple weeks ago with a few items, but only bcuz I truly did think they were media mail. Turns out they are not. Thanks!
1. Our Walmart's NEVER have Clearances anything like that. Don't know what they do with them, but they ain't on the shelf. I don't even think they OWN clearance stickers! Best they ever have are .10 special sales or rollbacks or whatever they call them.
2. From my experience doing clearances elsewhere, you NEED to take the risk and buy all you can ASAP on day one! At least around my town. No time to trial-run them on ebay. If not there is another ebayer on your heels that will buy the shelf out! Did this with an item recently. They sold for 3x profit literally in one evening! Someone apparently saw them move on ebay and when I went back the next morning every single one was gone.
Got it I'm just now learning about this stuff. I'm lucky enough to have a FT flexible job working for home so I need to get on the grind! I already have a Amazon and Ebay store with positive feedback. Thanks for your teachings on this!!
I am a big fan, and this is the first time that I have commented on any video on youtube. You have helped me so much with my ebay. I really appreciate your advice, and I just wanted you to know that you have made such a difference in my business. Thank you for all of the wonderful advice, I will be watching your videos religiously from now on!
so how do you know if its selling on a regu;lar and not just selling once every couple months,,other then the ranking and sales price that I see when I scan with my amazon seller scanning app I use,,what app or what method does one use to really truly knowwhat an item is doing on the market..i don't want to spend 300 dollars on clearance toys if they haven't sold other then the one sale that maybe brought the rank down to a reasonable ranking that wouold make us even consider buying..so if I scan an item it says 5,000 rank and theres a 20 dollar profit,ok that all sound perfect,,buuuut,,that rank doesn't tell us how often it sells,,was the last sale 5 months prior to the current sale,,,hope you understand and im sure you do,please if you find the time anyone that knows please reply,,im on a stand still,i refuse to buy anything else till I know what an item is truly doing,,and im trying to stay away from thrift shop stuff especially books vhs cassetess ect ect,,I really wwanna do newer items,,and I hear some things on fba amazon not lkiking that we are listing things as new???,,,idkk,,amazon is insane
Hey Casey, Thanks for the video. Question though, when you say scan the items do you use your phone to scan with? Also I found marvel football jerseys at Walmart on clearance for 9 dollars. I looked em up and some sold for 30 or more pretty cool.
RockstarFlipper hey thanks for reaching out to me! it looks like they go for around $200- $300 on ebay, a nice find for $30 at goodwill. I wanted to say that I love your videos, and I'll try my best to be there for your live shows! -Ryan
I did enjoy your video and i will be watching more in the future so here is one more for your viewer count. there's only so many videos i can get through in my sub inbox... i guess people who like and sub to EVERY video they enjoy on youtube also like to ruin their overall youtube experience. i don't mean to harp on the matter but i made a comment about disliking being asked to sub and like... so you comment saying you hope I'm subbed... I'm sure there's some arbitrary figure for how many people dislike being asked to sub and like EVERY video they watch...
Fair enough, but I'm pretty sure 99.999999999999% of youtubers ask for a sub if you enjoyed the content because ALOT of viewers arnt aware of subscribing or forget about it. So i appreciate the comment and i hope your sub, and i hope you enjoyed, but if not then i understand and have a great evening
Hey Casey great video once again thanks for consistently posting even through your busy schedule I had one question, what is your opinion on watching your own items on eBay to rank higher with Cassini cuz as you know watchers help you rank higher thanks!
Wal-Mart knows how to play the game. They now have those clearance isles because they know people are coming through that will buy it to resell it. Guaranteed that Wal-Mart is making more money off those items than the resellers.
Funny thing is just a had a video about how you hate retail arbitrage and never find anything when you went to the goodwills and the blackout. Anyways great video as always thank you for such great stuff
Casey, be careful with those items you buy from Walmart or other big box stores. Don't forget about the race to the bottom. If they are on clearance at your Walmart, then they are certainly on clearance at other Walmarts around the country and other resellers are buying them and will list them as well and they will list them at a lower price and then starts the race to the bottom. The price may just bottom out on that item. And then you're stuck with it.
This is great advice. It's shocking to a lot of people to find out that you can often negotiate with retail folks if you talk to the right person. I watched my grandma do it all the time when she was alive. It's an artform.
With the new price structure of GoodWill and Salvation Army,,,, Retail Arbitrage is a GREAT OPTION.
Only 2 reasons I kinda stayed away from it was,
A) The ROI was super low compared to thrifting. With a higher out of pocket amount in most cases.
B) I found that,,, out of maybe 30 RA items purchased, only 3-4 sold outside of Christmas time.
I still have about 7-8 RA items that I cannot give away, and they are good items.
My guess is,,,,,if Wal-Mart is clearing something out,,,,,it is for a good reason. lol
Can't wait to see how your toys do for you now that Christmas is over. Great Video!
sell cheap things to get feedback.. go back through your sold items and get feedback from people who didnt leave it.. ask them via PM.. if you fell under for shipping and tracking you have to do a better shipping job
Do you use tax # at Wal- Mart ? Do they not care about dealer sales? Thanks for all the info. I am just starting out and did not know how much I did not know !!!. I really enjoy watching and learning from you. Thanks again....
