To the haters : this is what they do and they are good at it. If you had any inclination to work hard like they do, you might be good too. So instead of sitting there whining and sucking your thumbs, why don’t you get up and try it. That will take up a lot of your free time, putting an end to all of your hating, and possibly putting some spare change into your pockets too.
RALLI ROOTS (12 days ago)
BOOM!! You tell them :)

OWNIN IT!!!! Proud of you guys!! AND I keep having to pause video because you kids make me feel guilty if I DON'T get up and list :) THANKS for just being Alli/Ryan & Callie!!!
newmedstudent (3 months ago)
Sounds like you guys are getting haters, typical when you are successful.
David J. MacKinney (6 months ago)
That is before tax, I would think the tax man will take at least a third.
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
That's for our CPA to decide
Andrew Cole (7 months ago)
How do you spend $25,000 in a month just to resell and make back 25k. Wouldnt real estate be better for you guys now that you have plenty of credit and money??? You spent 20k on all that stuff that's scary what if people dont buy and your stuck with all that stuff?
RLZS (8 months ago)
Eff all them haters!! But haters also lets you realize you’re doing some right. Mainly because you got something they wish they had
Carol Baare (8 months ago)
You guys have helped me get motivated and I've been posting everyday... My sales have skyrocketed... Thx for the motivation 👍👍👍
Ryan Tomlinson (9 months ago)
Hey Ryan, one thing you missed on deductions is taxes to either the state or feds. So wouldn't your overall earnings be less than what you have shown?
Ryan Tomlinson (9 months ago)
@RALLI ROOTS nah. I wouldn't expect it. I'm Canadian. Taxes up here are different.
RALLI ROOTS (9 months ago)
of course, but taxes will vary based on deductions. We can't give tax advice on this channel.
Benjamin Ross (9 months ago)
Wow Ryan that’s awesome. You might be one of the highest earning resellers on YouTube!! I’ll look into your courses, I’m looking for a mentor who is consistently netting $10-$20 a month
Gemechis Erana (9 months ago)
You guys are amazing, thank you for all the wonderful tips you continue to put out.

Do you still do wholesale sales? And how do wholesalers find you if not on ebay?
Raymond Dowling (10 months ago)
Can I get a application

I hate those haters
Jason White (1 year ago)
Hey Ry and Al, was wondering where do you primarily source wholesale lots from and do they go to one buyer or many different buyers per lot? Thanks.
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
We currently have one consistent contact and others we buy a few times a month from here and there
A M (1 year ago)
You forgot about taxes to the IRS. $22,000 x about 25% = $5,500 less. Your net is about $17,000 not $22,000
Taylor Goines (1 year ago)
Can you do more detail into wholesale. How you set it up? Where you learned to source from. And how you found buyers (online because you said paypal, but outside ebay?)
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
cool...except write offs ;) get a good CPA
kevin bowers (1 year ago)
Do you set a percentage aside for taxes?
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
yes of course
John Gabriele (1 year ago)
Love it.... Man I can't wait to get good traction ... So buying the course as soon as I can... Luv the adventure eBay has brought us... We sold an old handmade doll (wife said that thing will never sell,me: well we'll just seen ;)...) yesterday evening and found out it's going to Germany this morning... Mind blowing we are so hooked !!!!
John Gabriele (1 year ago)
Hey... Would you ship a saucer plate wrapped in bubble in a envelope bubble mailer or make a small box??? .... I feel envelope mailers are shipped up right in a bin....
John Gabriele (1 year ago)
Where's the GPS option... My phone only shows first class international and ups options.... I don't see GPS selection....
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
niiiiiice sale! we only ship using the GSP(global shipping program) that will eliminate a lot of your stress with int shipping.
John Gabriele (1 year ago)
How about usps just took eBay's international shipping away... Omg we were getting frustrated this morning cause it kept showing an error and not processing it....
Kevin (1 year ago)
Awesome video, awesome couple. Very smart avoiding eBay fees. Love the additional income stream. When could you do a video on how you promote and sell your wholesale products?
D. Garay (1 year ago)
Your sales are from items you bought the same month or months before? Because my sales of the month are from old listings I have. THANKS FOR SHARING AND GOD BLESS YOU GUYS. GOOD JOB!
D. Garay (1 year ago)
Thank you for taking the time and responding. You guys are awesome! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍A++++++++
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
this video is over a year old but most of the items would have been bought a few weeks before selling, our average items sits for 3 weeks max.
mrbitsnbobs (1 year ago)
thx Ryan, your far too generous with your info....
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
:) just trying to help as much as we can
Ryan S (1 year ago)
You forgot tax man on the 22k..Have to love it.
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
tax is different for everyone, you'd want to talk to a CPA which we are not. cheers
T W (1 year ago)
To be honest, what you're calculating is called EBITDA aka Net Income + Taxes for you. Net profit is after taxes that you'll pay when you file your taxes. It sounds like you're 1099 vs 1065 or 1120. I hope you don't see this as a negative comment. I do accounting so I do this on the daily. Anyways, ran into someone that knows you in St. Pete and that's why I'm here. Much love and props from across the Bay! (edited)
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
cheers, fair enough lol. we are an s corp. everything is run through our business so yea, this is profit before taxes and overhead.

DC (1 year ago)
do you have to pay tax on all this?? and whats wholesale selling?
mjp49ers (1 year ago)
I know am late, but great video. Question those taxes get accounted for in the other expenses? I see everyone talking about profit but no one talks about the tax implication?
Daryl Ogalino (1 year ago)
Thanks for making such great videos! I began my curiosity in this business but did not know how to start. After watching a couple of your videos, I am inspired to start my own business soon! It seems like nothing is impossible if you work hard. Please keep the videos coming! I love the material! And thanks again for breaking everything down to the basic T, because it makes it a lot easy to understand this whole business!

X6VeNoMmAsTeR9X (2 years ago)
Just one small question, did you include reinvestment in your equation?
X6VeNoMmAsTeR9X (2 years ago)
RALLI ROOTS I think I understand now, thanks for clearing that up :D
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
X6VeNoMmAsTeR9X mostly profit from previous sales. We've built our capital up to the point where it is self sustaining. We can take on buys without dipping into profits. Obviously, if there is profit left over at the end of the quarter it goes back into investable cash, we don't just go buy lambos for ourselves lol. 😂
X6VeNoMmAsTeR9X (2 years ago)
RALLI ROOTS But where does your capital come from?
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
X6VeNoMmAsTeR9X no because we already have capital to reinvest. This is profit.
Gone Fishin" (2 years ago)
I want to do what you do...with a *bit* of a twist. I want to focus on shipping all my items for payment by BIT COIN or other Alt Coins. In other words we will not accept any fiat currencies. The reason? I know people with extra BTC or other Alt Coins are DYING to buy about anything with their Crypto-currencies. What do you think?
Michael Hasebroock (2 years ago)

do you charge/pay sales tax on eBay?

VOGELTRON (2 years ago)
If you have those margins on wholesale why would you even bother with eBay? Just curious unless its shit you can't sell elsewhere or damaged, returned, etc. Clearly there is a gimmick to all this.
Andrew Randall (1 year ago)
VOGELTRON and they made over 10k on ebay...that kind of money would keep me interested.
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
exactly! the overstock/damaged items end up going to ebay. We wholesale all we can.
Michelle Gianni (2 years ago)
in you first example you said you sell an item on Ebay for $100 and their cut is $5.00. Ebay fee is 10% or am I missing something?
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
Michelle Gianni you're right. Just an example, showing total fees @ 30%

I had an eBay business years ago...Bought stuff on classifieds and sold on eBay. I made over 900 on one sale that I put about two hours of time on...I only wish those big deals were consistent.
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
BradK nice man. Yeah the deals are definitely out there. The more you work it and the more connects you make the easier it gets. We do deals like that daily now. Cheers 😊

Ashfaq Sheikh (2 years ago)
I see. Thought so. Thanks.
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
Ashfaq Sheikh nothing in money but it can be time consuming. Taking pictures and listing items is the most time consuming aspect of this business.

Darick Sparks (2 years ago)
Do you mainly use an eBay store? Running that at a 50% profit margin is pretty sweet, Thanks for the videos, I have started some FBA but thinking I want to start pushing eBay as well.
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
Darick Sparks yes. We definitely have an eBay store. Needed if you're going to be selling a decent amount.
Darick Sparks (2 years ago)
Do you use the eBay store option? It seems like the lower fees and the option to turn on a vacation mode and leave for a week would be nice.
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
Darick Sparks we do FBA and wholesale as well. Margins are probably the highest on eBay but it takes more work than FBA. Gotta do them all :)
Oldpluto (2 years ago)
I'm new to this, love your videos!  Great net profits but what about sales and income taxes? I never see anyone mention taxes when talking gross and net income on their YouTube channels.
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
thanks so much! yes, we definitely have to account for sales/income tax as well. Hard to incorporate taxe information into videos for legal reasons..
Solomon Green (2 years ago)
what if I just want to do bookscouter is there money to be made doing that
Solomon Green (2 years ago)
i have some book for sale
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
Solomon Green yeah there's definitely a lot of money if you can source the right books for the right price. Just takes some time and use of the right tools. FBAScan is your friend for books lol.

Jonathan Jones (2 years ago)

RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)

awesome thank you for responding. are you and your wife both full time into the business?
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
typically its just the two of us. when we have big loads to sort through we do have a couple super trustworthy friends we call and pay hourly. We buy from lots of different places, thrift stores, garage sales, auctions, wholesale etc etc.

Dreamcatchin Bebo (2 years ago)
Great video Ryan. thanks, hitting my first estate sale this Saturday. yes please, I video on how to find wholesalers.
Tom Hill Fishing (2 years ago)
Great video Ryan, do you think it's better to sell a lot of small items on eBay with small profit margins, or sell the occasional bigger item with a bigger profit margin, or does it just depend? Also now is obviously a good time to be an ebayer, but after Christmas will eBay go dead? Thanks
Tom Hill Fishing (2 years ago)
Ryan Roots thanks
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
depends on how much work you're wanting to put in and if you're able to consistently get those higher priced items. I much prefer dealing in higher priced items. This is somewhat seasonal but remember, ebay is always open 24/7/365 - this is what we do full-time not just on the holidays. Consistency is key. We do almost the same numbers "off season" as during the holidays.
Chris Dunn (2 years ago)
All I wanna know is how much for that TNT shirt? ;-) But seriously, absolutely awesome stuff Ryan! Keep up the amazing work man!
Jenna Marie (9 months ago)
Ryan your warehouse wear and tear on your car gasoline and taxes are all cost you never seem to talk about
Nick Alvarez (2 years ago)
Ryan, i firstly wanted to say thanks for this channel, it is a great insight into reselling. I wanted to ask what about your wages and the wages of any one else that works for you? I appreciate you may not want to disclose that info, just trying to get like a bottom line done and done profit if you catch my drift.
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
hahaha..you know I love dem turtles. Cheers bud!
Christopher Baumann (2 years ago)
Great stuff! I love your Garage Sale/Thrift Store/etc tactics and they work but... Can we only learn about how to build a wholesale operation from your training course, or will you be doing videos on that as well?
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
I will be talking a little about wholesale but that is primarily reserved for our students yes. We really have found ways to scale that we just can't release to the general public.
Income Strategy (2 years ago)
Every business has haters. alot of people do not like to see others succeed. As you already know we own a trucking company, i.e. Carrier Company. We own 2 trucks and 2 trailers (18 wheelers) and right now you are blowing us out of the water. Our expenses are astronomical. I just put $21,000 in our 2 trucks in repairs amongst many things like taxes, taxes, and more taxes. Plus insurance, fuel, etc. etc. etc. I could go on and on. We are tired of it that's why we have set up our commercial building to sell on eBay and Amazon, hopefully get into wholesale and private label. We just sugn uo our e-commerce site. Spent about $3,000 on product so far and we will be listing on Sunday. We have that knack for finding low priced items that will return a great profit like you and your wife. You and your wife are a great inspiration. Your both very smart entrepreneurs. Thanks for the video.
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
Of course! You guys really seem like you'll crush it. Cutting your teeth on other businesses definitely gives you the stamina you need to build a big resale company. I'm excited to see your progress :)
Scotty Thomas (2 years ago)
What type of listing do you do on eBay? Do you do auctions or strictly just buy it now?
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
99% BIN with best offer. There are plenty of was that work that's just what works best for us.
