Hope you don't mind but I'm gonna 100% STEAL your measurement idea! It's super simple and much easier!
Jacobo Reyes (6 days ago)
that's impressive
justin jacobs (17 days ago)
Sorry for newbie question.... what is the best way to learn key words for a listing title.? I just watched a old live video saying give as many specifics (which I do) but you also said use as many "key words" also. I am absolutely addicted to your channel. Thanks for all you guys do.
Great information
pf008 (24 days ago)
You don't measure the sleeve? I've always been confused about measuring the sleeve from the center of the neck to the cuff or from the shoulder line to the cuff. Some sellers are different.
Guardian Minifarm (24 days ago)
Very nice. Found some helpful things.😎🖒👍
Alyssa G (26 days ago)
How do you guys get the sleeves to spread out so evidently while hanging? Is there something underneath there?
pf008 (24 days ago)
It's the extra large hanger. I've considered using those foam swim noodles with a hanger through it to stretch the arms out , if that makes sense.
wuufer001 (1 month ago)
Button shirts / Polo shirts that have longer length at the back than the front (as much as 2 inches), which length (front or back) do you take into measurement? Have searched through many and it seems both are being used. Is there a standard?
Jenny M. (1 month ago)
What printer do you use to print your labels?
J King (1 month ago)
When I do this to sell something it takes me to different looking page ,the editor looks like notepad not word. i been trying for days to list a item. I want to use the editor like in this video.
Kristl Webb (1 month ago)
I love your photos. What are the shutter speed, f-stop and ISO settings that you use on your camera. (Or do you rely on automatic settings?)
RALLI ROOTS (1 month ago)
Thank you! We use 200 ISO, F 3.5 and the shutter speed varies from 1/80 - 1/200 depending on the type of item we are taking pictures of.
Cathy Stratton (1 month ago)
Thank you so much. This is very helpful information.

You guys don't iron your stuff before pics?? I'm assuming you don't wash them, either?
Jessica Martin (1 month ago)
Awesome!
Cam L (2 months ago)
Thanks Ryan but for some reason my Ebay doesn't look like this.. My layout looks much different and it doesn't give me the option to edit the photos on Ebay so I have to edit them on my Iphone. Any reason for this? Thanks.
Sarah Blais (2 months ago)
How do you make the large hanger?

Its Jan now and I began watching your vids about November and just coming across this episode. I think this is a must for all your viewers who plan on making a go on ebay or other platform. Next episode should be the shipping process and a 3rd on following up/handling returns. Ive been searching now for a better camera as neither of my phone are doing a good job (maybe just me). Last night, I was taking pictures last night and had this oversized shirt and was wondering where I can find a oversized hanger to make the cloths much neater. Going to have to watch this later when I return from work. Thanks

Do you guys know how to fix when you take a photo with your camera and it looks super crisp, but when you upload it to your PC the background looks super different (maybe yellowish sometimes)? Thanks!
RALLI ROOTS (8 months ago)
you can usually adjust the contrast and brightness with ebay's tools and it will fix it.
Omar Aguirre (8 months ago)
Iron the shirt, no?
RALLI ROOTS (8 months ago)
we usually don't a steam wand works better.
The queen H (8 months ago)

I just love your videos and love Callie. She’s a crack up. Btw I’m old enough for all of you to be my children!
Quick question for you: what size is the photo board you use? I see it’s actual, at time of purchase, size but I was wondering what size you cut it down to? Thank you in advance. :)
cole gude (10 months ago)
Where did you get your giant hangers?
cole gude (10 months ago)

RALLI ROOTS (10 months ago)

Thanks Ryan and Calli ! Once again, I learn and appreciate the gain from your knowledge.
Sara Sepia (10 months ago)
Yay Callie / Cally Roots! Love her regular accent AND when she goes country ;) A day in the life video of her day would be cool, seeing all the work she does to support this business could be helpful for folks thinking of hiring help or just to see more of the nitty gritty behind the thrifting.
polasheck (10 months ago)
love that man !
What are the sizes of the self sealing clear suffocation warning bags? Or can you put a link in? The links you currently have lead to the matte white finish poly mailers. Thanks for the great video and reply

Favian Velasco (11 months ago)
Hey Ryan really hope you see this message! I am in the process of hiring an employee. I see cali takes the photos for you. How many items per hour do you expect her to do? Does she do anything else besides that? I'm trying to figure out how much work my employee should be doing.
Favian Velasco (11 months ago)
RALLI ROOTS thanks a lot for the reply. Appreciate it!
RALLI ROOTS (11 months ago)
Callie is a special kind of employee, she handles a TON of the work for our business, not just pictures, which is why we pay her well. We wouldn't be comfortable going more into her job and pay though on youtube. Sorry! good luck with your first hire.
Bruce B (11 months ago)
When creating a listing what is the advantage to first shooting your photos with a camera (or your phone), then transferring the photos to your laptop, creating your listing on the laptop and then adding your photos. As opposed to creating a draft on your phone in the Ebay app, shooting the photos with your phone and upload them in the app, and then finishing the listing on your laptop?
RALLI ROOTS (11 months ago)
Bruce B mostly quality of the pictures and we have employees that take pictures and separate people who draft the items so that method wouldn’t work, good for a one person show though. I would still use a higher quality camera tho.
babalewa (11 months ago)
Where do you not ship to, And Why?
RALLI ROOTS (11 months ago)

Have you tried taking pictures (at least the first one) with the "Product Photo Studio" on the Amazon Seller app? I tried today and it seems faster than fixing the first image on eBay... I took the first picture with the app and would switch to the iPhone camera for the rest of pictures, since it's faster... just thought to share this, in case you haven't seen that feature... (by the way, thank you SO much for all the great content you put. You both are too adorable and have helped me a LOT... so thank you! Thank you! Thank you!)
vanessa lino (11 months ago)
Oh! That's right! You use the camera... =) xoxo
RALLI ROOTS (11 months ago)
Yes that totally works! we just find it's a bit faster for us to do it this was cause we're not using a phone for pics.

HICHAM BELHADY (11 months ago)
Dude where do you purchas clear Storage bags for your Shirts. Thanks
Tony Dellamaria (11 months ago)
A couple of thoughts. Editing pictures on eBay is slow. The first thing I do is select the square option on my camera and fill the screen on each photo. No editing needed for size unless I have really oblong items like pants. To edit for darkness if necessarily I do in the folder before I upload, more options and seems much faster. Great video I have got to get a ring light.
RALLI ROOTS (11 months ago)
Nice :) lots of different ways to get the same result. Definitely get a ring light
Brian Smith (11 months ago)

You know I feel like I've changed my photography set up like 6 times already haha.... just need to find the one that works for me. The fact that Poshmark photos that attract buyers are so different to ebay photos is kind of tricky, with Poshmark... elegant, cute, closet/boutique style listings with decorations or nice backgrounds attract buyers vs ebay plain white background which serves best on ebay. It is tricky to set something up that will work for both. I have tried the white background photos for poshmark but along with the other listings on Poshmark they seem dull and boring. Some people add shoes or blouses with the 1 item they are selling so you see what an outfit would look like... which looks amazing btw.. haha. I've bought things on Poshmark because of that so I know it works. Later on you might need to show us your Poshmark set up if you venture into it too. Plus... on ebay you have luck selling mostly Men's clothing vs Poshmark... it's mostly Women's clothing... so the prettier/elegant/beautiful the photos are... the better.
RALLI ROOTS (11 months ago)
Very very true! Poshmark and ebay pics are definitely different, that being said, we do know a few people who use the same white background pics and cross post but we totally agree, items on posh will sell better with more boutique style pics. We're excited to get into poshmark in the future :)
Mary Kirschenbaum (11 months ago)

At the beginning of the videos it should have DJ Khaled screaming "Another One" like all of your videos are about to be hits! Cause this is another one!!! Great vid, tutorial! 🎯
RALLI ROOTS (11 months ago)
haha!! Love that idea ;)
Susan (11 months ago)
do you find storing in the bag right away is "sealing" in the thrift store smell ??
RALLI ROOTS (11 months ago)
we wash a lot of the stuff we get, if the items smell we don't bag them right away
claire kirton (11 months ago)
UK reseller and this is a great way to learn to simplify your processes love how its broken down and I can apply to my own listing also I have made a big coat hanger also thank you
Jean Hannah (11 months ago)
Great video. I noticed that you didn't complete the custom SKU field in the listing. How do you then find the item in your inventory once it sells? Thank you 😊
RALLI ROOTS (11 months ago)
Honestly, totally missed that LOL you are right, I had to go back and put in the bin number.

Hi Ryan! I needed this video in my life! THANK YOU :D and I noticed you didn't do Best Offer for this listing. May I ask, have you stopped doing Best Offer on all your items? And if so, could you pls share why?
RALLI ROOTS (11 months ago)
No worries :) we still put best offer on a lot of items be we are experimenting with different methods
Jack McCarthy (11 months ago)
For cropping photos - I use Preview (on Mac) for faster speed. It's a one click select and with keyboard shortcut cmd-K to crop. It updates the version within your files and uploads that to eBay. Saves a few seconds - which for 4 photos overs 100's of products can add up.
RALLI ROOTS (11 months ago)
great tip!
