I have had a few cases like that and they are one of the best I have had. When I dropped the phone that case would explode instead of the phone. My latest case has the plastic and rubber backwards of those cases and do not do the exploding so the phone takes more shock
Honestly for most things you are better off selling local on Craigslist or Facebook marketplace if you aren't going large scale large volume. The amount of work and money it takes to front for the shipping is too much of a pain then eBay and Amazon get their fees and piece. If you are selling item a. For $20 just throw it on FB marketplace meet the guy and get your cash. If you are selling 50 of those then fine make an eBay store or Amazon store.
For private label? There are SOME companies who will put your logo on items for extra cost...but mostly you need to have the items shipped to you, then logo them,, then sell. I know most people want to bypass the shipping and send straight to amazon etc... but thats not the way you should be doing it
I have to laugh OUT LOUD..I am watching this in 2018 and you just said at 2:05 that you can buy items in bulk for 2 or 3 dollars and resell them on amazon for 12-13 and you are going to NEY..You said N ET lol...9 dollars...Well I wish you would make a current video and tell us how you would actually lose money on such a proposition, especially doing Amazon FBA...I get the feeling that all of you "expertsÆ are really just doing affiliate selling for apps and pushing som so called "course"...This is business and there is nothing easy or automatic ? A fool and his money will soon part..So please post something current and relevant and consider taking these old misleading videos down :) about it and anyone who thinks so is just a fool..You heard the old saying...
David Stegmeir I ignore people like you all the time. I’m farrrrr from “butthurt” which the use of shows your immaturity right there. Again Why are you still here? I’m just amused and like to have fun and waste peoples time once in awhile, and I keep getting views and money from you. So thanks ;-).
NO need to get all butt hurt..If you can't take the criticism then don't post public videos...Oh and you are correct about pulling the plug when you dont want to see or hear something...which is why I unsubscribed lol..And it isn't because of your content, but rather your reaction to my comments. A man isnt measured by what happens to him, but rather how he reacts to what happens to him. I am only one guy giving you a hard time..That should have no effect on you and if I were you I would just ignore people like me...I do...because all that happens is that you get ujpset and it isnt worth it.
Hey thats the wonderful part of the internet... don't like it? LEAVE.. stop watching smh.. its pretty easy... And YES I do dozens of store reviews and coaching sessions weekly.. and all my stores are linked genius
Yes and looking at the same old tired videos gets old too..What you say about Amazon proves you dont really sell anything on Amazon..I looked at your line up of current videos and nothing at all relevant to Amazon today. Props for making a buck monetizing youtube videos..I have made a few and I know how much time it takes so where is the time you claim to spend doing what you claim you do...I have not seen you or most like you do anything but TALK about how great you do but you never show the actual numbers...wonder why that is? Oh and you claim you arent selling anything..so whats up with the one on one "coaching" You do that for free? To be honest there are some really good videos with some good actionable advice.;;however, most of you just sound like carnival barkers. Lastly, you say that many people make the same argument I made...So I guess we are all wrong and only you are right..You are a young feller with a lot to learn but keep plugging you are doing fine lol.
Found your youtube channel, I am really thankful of what you share. I am kind of confused by private labeling or brand, you mention it in a couple of video. Lets use the ipad case as example. so you buy it throu alibaba without any brand on the case and it arrive to your house. how do you private label it? or did you request the alibaba seller to brand it for you?
When it arrives to you, you can slap a label on it with your name or brand....or some Chinese companies will make your label for you and stick on it before shipping to you, either way. SOME private label people never even label the items, they leave them blank and sell them using the name in the title and description but don't actually label it to save money on supplies (HOWEVER I don't recommend that, you wanna build your brand)
Haha, was looking through some older videos. This was the first video of yours that I saw back in late winter of this year. I had just started reselling again. It led me to subscribing and still being subscribed about 8 or 9 months later. Keep up the great work brother. Congrats again on 50K subscribers.
Man. you named your business appropriately. You are a Rockstar! Thank you for all you do. I honestly, so much think highly of your plight. Thank you again. (Sorry, don't mean to get way carried away, I am just so impressed).
So, when you say trademark infringement, you are meaning, if you buy unbranded, don't use the i.e. apple word etc in the listing? Is that what you mean? Still so new at selling on eBay. I so love your videos so far, so informative! Thank you, thank you!!
If you sell a product that isn't actually made by that company yes... like selling "generic" apple USB cables that arnt actual apple cables.... OR if someone sticks a "Mercedes" logo on a plain white polo and calls it a Mercedes polo it might be flagged because Mercedes never made white polos.. (just an example not actual fact)
Just a small note about buying bulk and trying to sell. Say you buy 100 ipad covers. You list them as 100 available. That is going to be your listing max for the month. Ebay doesnt let new people or people with bad reviews list 1000 items a month. You may also talk about listing fee's. After 25 items listed each additional item is $0.20-$0.30 taking $28.00 more dollars away from profit. Just saying. I think you are trying to help people and there are a lot of small things that make a person go belly up.
wholeNwon The funny thing is they say they don't have time for that, or can't be bothered to. What they don't realize is that money=time and vice-versa. And you now have 12 years extra they don't. I'm sure you'll do fine. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. At least that's what I keep trying to remind myself as I too make business plans. It's true though. Mistakes are just learning opportunities.
I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. Take your time. Research, and plan carefully. And you'll be fine. Also use tools like https://www.terapeak.com and listing programs etc. to make your life easier. And follow the ebay/Amazon rules carefully. Protect your reputation. Put the essentials like customer service first. The rewards will follow.
This is what is learned from my research so far.
Andrew Balus You're exactly right. A lot of people, esp. young people, are just too dumb to understand the time-value of money and the importance of compound interest in determining one's financial future. Like you I checked and still check prices carefully. I started the saving habit very young, never wanted for anything, was never in debt, and was able to retire more than 12 years before my coworkers. Now I'm curious about (hobby?) businesses and am trying to familiarize myself with the basics of mass-market resale.
Joe GI You are thinking that everyone thinks like you do, and have the same buying habits. People are in a hurry. Are buying a lot of gifts with little time. Make lots of money, and don't care etc.
You've never met people, and are shocked at how much money they waste by not buying smart? I know more people like that then I do like you and I. Most people can't be bothered to search out deals. They see something, like it, and buy it. And don't care at all that they could have gotten a better deal. I know people that go through the supermarket, and don't even look at prices. They just buy a bunch of food they know they're kids like. I look at every single price, and unit price. You need to put yourself in others shoes. Not everyone is the same.
sorry I don't see it, but have watched a few of your video's and you have a lot of good knowledge to share, but sorry i don't get the mouse pad one. infact these days i find the whole selling market saturated with all the stuff from alibaba etc and plus you have most of those suppliers on ebay as well selling for prices that is basically what you can buy it for, become very hard. but love your video's i had to share some with friends as i thought it was very good
Hey so I've been in business for about a year now on eBay. I am up to 600 and something active listings. I am a top-rated seller and I get most of my inventory from estate sales. I have been watching your videos for a while now and I am interested in how and where to buy in bulk. And could use some of your guidance. Seems as if you have been doing this for a while And you know exactly what to do. I mean I'm sure I can figure it out but it will be nice to have somebody who's been there.
if you choose to head overseas for product, make sure you work with a freight forwarder and customs broker that you can trust. oh, you may also want to know how to set up transportation so the seller doesn't make a bunch of $$ off of your misunderstanding
Good work! My club tosses out tennis balls when they are a little worn but still very playable. Picked up a whole case from the trash and sold them for $20. On another day, I dropped some stuff off at Good Will and went into the store to look around. Saw a valuable item in a display case and told the clerk that it was greatly mispriced. They just didn't care, so I bought it. Resold the $5 item on Craigs List for $200. So, I tried it again. Found an older USB scanner, new in box, for $6. Sold it for $35. Checked the clothing rack while helping some ladies look for shirts. The obvious standout was a Charvet (about $850) for $4. I bought a Brooks Bros. sweater with some of the tags still on it, for $3! Their store sells them for over $800. Of course, I kept that.
Great video. i got a question. maybe you know. There is bunch of sellers based in USA sell stuff for under $2.00 delivered. i even seen one seller selling stuff for 1.50$ delivered ! i bought that item just to see how and what kind of shipping he did. Item arrived first class mail. 3oz weight. best shipping on 3oz package i can get i think is for 2.60$. so would you have any idea how he is able to sell something delivered for 1.50$ ? (just shipping cost is more then asking price not even counting ebay and paypal fees)
Aliexpress stopped taking payments via Paypal in 2012 although in recent months they say it is again accepted in "selected stores",I trawl through at Aliexpress every second day and I am yet to find one of these stores. Some vendors on Alibaba state that they can accept Paypal, you mention"ALI" which ALI do you mean?.Of course one could PM a seller on either site to ask if they have a Paypal account and to invoice via Paypal, circumventing Alipay, maybe they'll oblige.Escrow and Alipay are not bad with buyer protection but,one needs to realise that the Chinese vendors have access to heavily discounted shipping costs courtesy of the CCP, the shipping costs to return a defective shipment back to China can cost more than the purchase value of the goods. I've been through dispute many times, mainly as a seller, sometimes as a buyer, disputes and claims are a huge distraction and can cause a lot of stress,it's not that simple to say just open a case and some desk jockey is going to fight for your protection.Everyone is covering there own arse when shit hits the fan.
#1 I never said anything about a delivery person waiting. Thats why when you get the merchandise you check it, and if its bad you file a case with PayPal, (WHICH ALI still takes.. YES!!, maybe not for where you are, but here in the USA we can pay using PayPal). You open a case. If that dosnt work you open a chargeback on your credit card, either way your protected
Wow!! You are quite a you tuber in my book. I love your videos. You've inspired me to start reselling on ebay again, but I have so much inventory to list I am convinced I need to hire an ebay assistant to get rid of all my inventory so I can start buying again. lol. You know I haven't stopped buying, right!! Just too much good thrift store finds daily. lol. Okay, so how do I go about finding a seasoned ebay seller close to me to help me get started, organize, take pics, list, ship, etc. I'm a retired RN and have no accounting experience at all. Never done a spreadsheet, etc. I'm not good at uploading or downloading pics to the computer, nor finding them once I get them there. Never a computer class either. I can type on a desktop keyboard efficiently, but hate to text. I once owned a pawn shop, but basically went broke doing it. I'm pretty good at finding good deals at thrift shops, rummage sales, estate sales, clearance sales, esp at Walmart, but procrastinate listing items. This is becoming quite a thorn in my husbands side. lol. I would love to find someone close to me that I could give my items to, like in storage tubs, etc weekly or whatever works best for them, so they could list at their home, at their convenience, if that's what they prefer. I don't know the best way to pay them. I think they would list more if they got paid per item, that way they could make more, the more they list. Is this a good idea or not? Ebay has changed a lot since I used to sell on it. I have over 900 feedback, 100% positive, on ebay. Please help me get a proficient helper for ebay, SOON!!! I live in Central Illinois. Thanks so much for all your excellent advice and humor. You're very entertaining and educational at the same time.
I'm so glad I found this channel.
I *just* srarted selling stuff on ebay, about 2 weeks ago. Your advice & info is awesome and so helpful.
I like the fact that every video basically answers several of the million questions I have. Who knew it could be so complicated (at times) and occasionally frustrating.
Thanks for posting these.
RockstarFlipper I love your video. I am so glad you share this video. But I have a question which company did you pick to ship your products from China to US or how did you ship your products? How long it takes to deliver the products? I am currently stuck on this step. I would appreciate if you could help me this.
Again its my personal opinion but I have seen WAYYYY to many and Heard WAYYYY to many peoples horror stories of "I was making thousands a month on drop shipping, then my supplier screwed up 1 week and I had 20 cancelled orders and 15 late orders, and ebay shut me down".... we'll NO CRAP.. of course they shut you down. Just too risky
I live in NY. I was just wondering if I need to get a business license if I'm selling lets say, 100-200 small items ($5-$10) an item? A friend of mine who has been ebay selling if I recall, told me I didn't need it unless I'm selling more expensive items such as automotive equipment, tools, etc. Get back to me when you can! Liked & Subscribed! Thanks man
Don't bother with a license until you actually reach selling that items per month. If you have employees or customers coming in and out of your home then you should get a business licence with city. You are then visible in your neighborhood. But if it's just you working in your home and UPS drops by your house 3-4 days a week, you are not detectable nor obligated to be licensed with the city, especially if your items all fit in a small room. If your inventory takes up most of your house(or an outside storage unit, then you may be "obligated", or you have. DO NOT call the city and ask. They will always tell you a license is needed. I license can be like a tax in most cities. They charge based on your income. YO should google this info to really research it if you are concerned.
How do people buy from Alibaba with the outrageous shipping costs? And example, firesteels, for camping/survival, 80 bucks shipping for 100 pieces. Every item I see has this crazy cost. Also none seem to offer shipment by sea from what I can tell.
What is the name of the website where u can stats of products that sell on Ebay? Did you say Teropeak? Could you provide the name of that website or link? Thanks so much you are extremely helpful for a newcomer like myself
