If you don't mind me asking what do you pay for your Warehouse? I just downsized my house where I had two extra rooms but I want to get a warehouse and I'm curious about the prices you were saying Florida? I'm in Arizona but it's a similar Market depending on the city
Hey guys, Thanks for making all of your videos. They have been ultra helpful for me as I am starting to look for items to sell and start my ebay store. I have my first listings live with 1 sale under my belt. I am trying to keep track of inventory and want to add the Custom label. I am entering the game with the new eBay website and I cannot find the custom lables to save my life. If I switch back to classic view, when I go to the active page it goes to the new site and there is no customize button. If anyone has figured this out please let me know. Thanks again so much!!!
Question for you and for anyone who bags their stuff before putting it in bins: Do y’all’s Goodwills not soak (seems like) the clothes in that odorban stuff? I like the idea of doing what y’all do, but a lot of the things I get reek of that disinfectant they use (or sometimes a musty smell) and I’m afraid if I bagged them to store them they would just be marinating in that smell. 😖 How do y’all handle that?
I just called eBay last night about the custom label SKU field and the tech guy said there isn't one and I have to put it in the title please help I asked him if it's only available for certain stores because I have a starter store but he said it's just not available I don't think he knew what he was talking about please help - nevermind I just found it under the Seller Hub which I needed to activate
Thank you for another amazing video! Can you please share a lonk to where you purchse the clear poly bags with the warning on them and your thank you cards. Thanks for all you do for the reselling community you guys rock. -Paul
"DING" Thanks the light bulb went off in my head. Sunshine on a rainy day. I use a similar system. But I was laying my items flat in the tote. I was going through the whole tote to find something that always seemed to be at the bottom. Lined my items up and bada bing bada boom. The items started saying "take me....I'm here...take me" Thanks
I have fill up spaces with the item once it has been listed. I choose a shelf and add it to the listing right away... I have eBay shelf, Amazon Shelf, and also for other platforms, so it's easy to find when the items sell. Each shelf has 5 levels (so I choose Row 2 Shelf A Level 4 and a number that starts from 1 - 20 so basically 20 items fit on that level as an example, based on how big or small your items are...
It would be nice if that custom label spot was with in the listing template and then defaulted to where you have it so we didn't have to go there and put the stock number in. It's these extra steps that cause someone such as myself to screw up. But it is what it is.
I remember that I have heard of someone who used like a business card size piece of card stock paper, or whatever size you wanted them to be, and they preprinted these with bin or shelf locations, and when they were assigning an inventory number or location, they would clip this little card with the number on it to the bag and put the item in the bin.
When the item was sold, it would be pulled so it could be shipped, and the card it used, would be placed back in a pile and would be reused on another item, because the card being in the pile, meant there was an empty space in the bin. I don't use this system (yet), I'm am trying to find a system that I will use so just looking around at what other people use.
Another informative video! I too appreciate the length of the videos, you don’t get sidetracked. Lastly, you’re always thinking of new things, I admire that of the two of you! You only get to live once and you’re doing a great job of utilizing and enjoying that time. Especially with the positive attitude that you guys have!
A bit off topic Team Ralli, but I have an emergency. I found an everlast shirt just like the pair you guys recently sold. Any chance you might share how you listed yours? Title, etc... I tried to find the comps and couldn't find em. Love your videos, subscribed and notifications are in place. Have already made money cause of you guys. Plus you both make me laugh.....Hard.... Keep em coming!
Do you open the sealed poly items if a buyer asks for additional measurements (such as sleeve length etc) or do you just decline to take measurements in addition to the basic ones (width and length) on the listing?
Your Dad sounds South African not English! I was expecting a Geordie or West Country, don't ask me why! Thanks for this vlog, I am up to just over 220 items now (five months selling) and it's starting to get to be a pain finding things. However, I hope to be taking a road trip lasting several weeks so have to get it all into two 100L lidded bins....you have given me an idea :)
Yep, sadly I bought my daughter that same shoe rack a few years ago and it did the same thing. I love seeing how you work or manage the day to day parts of running a reseller business cause sadly it's not just shopping all the time. :-(
I didn't know about custom label like that...I never paid attention to it all these years. I sort my clothes by type/size/brand/style way. Other items are on shelves or totes. I always just put Tote number at the very bottom of a listing, but now I will use the custom label. One question though...How do you get that chart format on sold items? I see that on active items, but the sold items doesn't look like that and I can't figure out why. Thanks
RALLI ROOTS your system is awesome! Looks so efficient!
Just shootin out what I use too and maybe a suggestion for clothes people like me! I use big metal shelves for hard goods. All in a tiny tiny trailer! I'm a hard workin woman! Disabled on oxygen too! Have 1100 active items and a very successful store!!
Thank you for keeping your videos under 10-15 minutes. There's a few other youtubers I like to learn from also but their videos are like an hour long or more. "Ain't nobody got time for dat!". lol Yours are short & sweet & to the point. I can take a break for a few minutes and then get back to work. :)
I have a rack almost like that except I have DVDs on it. I've had those lightweight clothing closets that have a white cover over them that zip up... collapse on me and it didn't even have that much weight on the rack. The poles don't go down into the base far enough making them tend to lean and very prone to collapsing. DO NOT BUY, people of youtube!
I wish I could show you my shoe shelf. I bought a huge 5 shelf metal rack from FB Marketplace for $10. It was ugly and kinda rusty. I got a bunch of those cardboard boxes from Aldi that hold (4) 1 gallon jugs of water. They have a divider between 2 jugs. I turned those on their side and put them between the shelves. This made more "shelves" and I now have roughly 20 pairs of shoes per shelf now (depending on what size & style the shoe is).
Who da HELL gives a 👎🏾 down to a video about how their inventory systom works for them🤔 sure wish I knew to start explosing your dumb ass..smh GREAT VIDEO RAYAN!! btw they must know its a fake inventory way😂😂😂 some people
Great video :) I didn't realize that the Cust. Label area was for "our eyes ONLY". Thanks for the ideas regarding date / price paid / bin location. That will step up my game a little. Now I have more work to do but in the end it will be so worth it.
Thank you again !!!
Hi Ryan, What happens when the AG11 sells, how do you track the number again. Do you use it for next new item or just keep going with new numbers. We are very close to finishing our inventory system, this is where we get stuck. Much appreciate your response :)
This was going to be my question—how you manage inventory numbers. Seems like you’re saying you go through to the last bin and then start over at bin A, using any numbers that have become available since the last pass. How often do you take stock of what numbers are available?
Great question! I'm imagining a lot of bins that get fairly empty, wasting a lot of space until the last item in it is sold and you start refilling that bin. I'm also curious about at what time in the listing process of an item, is the inventory SKU number assigned, and when does it get bagged and put in the inventory location?
I could REALLY use some help on inventory tracking as far as bookkeeping goes! I'd love a video on how to keep track of it all for taxes. Just got our tax return done and it reminds me that my system isn't very efficient! Thanks!
