Part II Counterfeit Culture Moscow https://youtu.be/MwJTT1D2PbE
In recent years, Korea has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing fashion markets. Koreans are obsessed with fashion, and the country produces scores of talented designers, many of whom are now breaking out onto the global stage.
Beneath the surface, though, there’s an insane market for counterfeit streetwear. Of course, you can find fake clothing all over the globe, but there’s places in Seoul that are selling convincing knock-offs of hyped brands like Raf Simons, Off-White, Balenciaga and Fear Of God.

There may be a ton of fakes but it's really cool to see how almost the entire youth of Korea loves fashion and have really cool style. I'm sure it's a huge part of what makes Seoul such a vibrant place in the world.
Anyone that says Koreans are fashionable does not really know what fashion is. I hardly seen anything fashionable outside of Cheongdam. Hondae, Itaewon etc is full of knock off wearing clones. No street wear unless you count white socks and fila trainers :) Style here is a major disappointment. This clip is a misguided uncritical look at 'fashion'.
From the age of 13-14, cosmetic surgery began. From the 1980s to 1990s, teenagers were injected with growth hormone. Their faces were fake, their bodies were fake, and their hearts were fake. It was nausea!
And on the inside the tag says.... who cares?? And who wears these and shows off the tags anyway?
Have you seen the quality of supreme apparel? Looks like any white/grey shirt with a iron on label on the front anyway.
I don't think it is fair to say that koreans do not have originality and copy the west for style.
90% of fashion trends come from asia lol.
there is a much bigger demand for what is popular in asia- especially with the amount of subcultures in japan.
nobody is dressing like people in asia do. their expression is truly from their culture - something america, england, ect, do not have.
just my opinion idk.
I hate places where nobody has the chance to stand out. They’re all dressed so fashionable that no one person can stand out of the crowd. They all just go back to what we do when everyone does the same thing which is fit in. I really dislike that.
Least no one will judge you for having the fake brand since everyone does, better than being in the US and being made fun of for not being able to spend thousands and thousands on Gucci etc. but liking the style. Also, America is remaking whole ass Korean shows and the “copying” or “shitty redo” concept isn’t even brought up 💀
Honestly, I feel kinda bad for young people in Korea who buy the real thing, bc people will think it's fake anyway. Often they just assume it's fake right away. However, you can still go with that style without buying fakes though. Korea has a lot of cheaper street-style stores, especially in university districts...
I went to Korea three years ago and bought clothes on the street. I had no idea about supreme brand and bought a fake shorts for my brother in law but man I do have to say that their quality for those clothes wasn’t bad at all. Many young people are so stylish over there. So nice to look at.
I went on holiday to a resort where it was 80% Korean and the rest mostly hongkongese - advices by the hotel. The Koreans love fashion but you don’t see gordgy fashion choices like Chinese do. The Koreans don’t wear Gucci or LV in your face like the Chinese did. This is only two weeks I was there but we could spot the HK people from a mile away
Asians want everyone's everything, they want to get everybody's culture, counterfeit, copy ,take etc. But if you try to settle in their countries or take their woman. Ohhhhh no, they don't like that. They can take from you, your culture, your country, your ways. But don't take their woman, don't f their woman, don't settle in their homeland, don't over stay, just visit take pics and a souvenir and get the hell out. Bottom line, they are hypocrite, selfish, and pure shit. Asia all Asia hates Westerner but they don't say it because they need the Almighty dollar
Okay I'm going to get so much hate from this but like the host keep saying that fact like korea is like copying America is kinda partly... a bit dumb? Sorry for the shade but like seriously does that mean the rest of the world is also copying America? Because I'm pretty sure korea aren't the only country that wears brand sweatshirts etc
I never understood why anyone would pay a lot of money to look like everyone else.🤔I use the money I would spend to custom everything .The feeling of something made just for me ,no one has it ,for a fraction of the cost is the best .
Fuck Fakes but Fuck Supreme and Fuck HUF, their shit not even tough, they're overhype brands. You want quality streetwear that may hurt the pockets but style, quality is undeniable can't go wrong with Palace, XLarge,Y3. Saw a Supreme cross body man purse (you know that crossbody bag every single person in Japan wears) 48,000 Yen, laughable when you could get that same bag from Mr Porter for half the price and the quality is far better if you're searching for brand name shit, in all honestly I got a mint condition (used) MR Porter crossbody bad at a 2nd street ReUSE shop in Hiroshima for 6,500 Yen..
Polution and sandstorms? LMAO where did you do your research? The main reason people wear face masks is not to spread a cold or avoid catching a cold. SMH... Some of y'all should just stay in Whiteland and shut the F up.
Well, you obviously didn't do your research either... Because masks indeed are often used to filter out fine dust. Yes, people do wear face masks to avoid getting sick as well, but the majority uses them on days with high fine dust levels. However, if you see people with masks made out of fabric or just normal surgical masks, they're probably just used as a fashion item as they don't filter out particles.
I am someone that doesn’t like wearing branded stuff, unless it’s real. But like if something is not branded and it’s like a counterfeit, then fuck it, I’m getting it. I especially like pastel clothing, hoodies with different colors on it, and like bomber jackets that have a print in the back. As long as there is no brand labeled on the clothing, then I’ll take it for cheap.
The fake products don't look like they have bad quality, and he never explained why they were of poor quality for being clothes. I think it is rather nice to make it affordable to people rather than stack all that cash into one's pocket for overpriced name brands. I was never a name brand girl, so I don't feel any offense in fake products that look good and feel good and are reasonably priced. If you really like fashion, it's not about the brand and money, it's about the inspiration your clothes give.
