1)What company do you use for shipping? 2)How do you decide what to charge for shipping? 3) where do you post your items to sell? 4) do you only sell clothes?

+RALLI ROOTS thank you. Is there a place i can find previous Monday videos?
RALLI ROOTS (21 days ago)
Katia Aguirre whew, that’s a lot of questions. We have a live show every Monday night where we answer questions like this, or for personal training ralliroots.com/mentoring

very intelligent guy you are ryan...

Thank you for including the part about the "guilt" of buying and reselling. I was worried about that, and the way you explained it was great! Just started watching your and Alli's video and I think that they are great! Thank you!
smartinez281 (2 months ago)
Good video, but my question now is do we have any follow ups on it they sold around those prices? I can say I value a pair of socks for 10 bucks and only mange to sell for 4 bucks.
RALLI ROOTS (2 months ago)
watch some of the 40+ what sold on ebay videos we have on our channel

Just ran across you guys. Love your videos. Very helpful😀
Craig AK (4 months ago)
The easiest thing is finding and buying the deals but when it comes to selling you need to be set up with good reselling accounts. Reselling has become very popular and there is a lot of competition nowadays. Happy flipping folks!
Серж Далимор (4 months ago)
when you visit garage sales, have you seen photo albums with photos? vintage 50-90s? if yes, then I will buy from you this in packs, bags, if I report it and give a link to the lot
beegano (5 months ago)
My 4 year old little girl is now watching your video's with me and she acts like she knows Alli personally. It's too funny. Thanks for the hard work that goes into making these video's.
David Veillette (5 months ago)
Okay about a month later. How Many of these items actually sold?
RALLI ROOTS (5 months ago)
lol, they're not even listed yet. We have a massive amount of rolling inventory ;) watch our what sold videos for recent sales.
Uni Amni (5 months ago)
Hey ROOTS. I have done this for 5 years and changed the business recently. I realy hated to take item pictures. What you hate the most at this work ?
Ryan Schroeder (6 months ago)
Yup grunt style is based out of the Chicagoland area. Good company
Julie Bailey (6 months ago)
Hi love your videos from Australia just a quick question which has probably been asked somewhere before but do do wash all your thrifted clothing? TIA
basilio morales (6 months ago)
Hi I like your videos, I will like to ask you. Have you ever heard about a brand name FAITH? I been trying to find it online but no luck. The other day I went to a thrift store and so I sow this crazy vintage looking shirt and it had this brand but I dint buy it because I couldn’t find any info on it.
V Dzemionas (6 months ago)
Just found your channel and I love the way you run your videos!
olensiin1 (6 months ago)
Love your videos, guys, but Ryan, isn’t it a bit misleading? How about time spent in cleaning, taking pictures, shipping? Shouldn’t it be counted? It will come to much less $ per hour.
olensiin1 (6 months ago)
RALLI ROOTS I must have missed it! Sorry. I know, you guys are pretty much on top of everything. I am slow lister. It is my least favorite part of eBay!
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
olensiin1 I did include it. I can get about 15-20 items listed an hour by myself

grossly overpriced as usual. i doubt you would sell any of those at desired price.
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
lol well you'd be wrong there. I'm pretty conservative with my comps, watch the 40+ what sold videos we have out that show you how much our items sold for.

Sick N64 shirt!!!!
Theis Pedersen (6 months ago)
Like the videos . I have a question for your guys, have you ever thought of using Bump (app) to sell some of your stuff? it's the most streetwear and vintages clothes but the has better fees then ebay and onlye takes 6% and Paypal fees. Thought it might be interesting to try it?
Julie Bull (6 months ago)
Thank you Ryan for your kind words at the end of this video. I personally resell because cancer treatments have left me with a painful autoimmune disease. Some days I am unable to get out of bed however on my good days I thrift for an hour to resell. What you are doing is awesome! In addition your videos both entertain and inspire me on my bad days! So I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Bless you.
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)

How are you liking the new camera overall? It obviously shoots awesome quality video but it seems to have some auto focus issues. Overall seems to be an improvement

John Stimson (6 months ago)
+RALLI ROOTS ok, good to know. What part of Fl are you in?
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
John Stimson that’s a tough area. We went there and found nothing too. Usually we’ll find at least a couple good items. Maybe one of of 10 stores we leave empty handed
Brandon King (6 months ago)
Thumbs up straight away for the shirt.
Lynda Painter (6 months ago)
Nice haul :) I have learned so much from your channel, thank you for that. I can only sell what I can pick up from Op shops, living in a small town does have it's limitations. The people that run our local church Op shop know that I resell, they have to - all those mens clothes and we are a two female household?! LOL The different sizes, shoes etc.... and they are so cheap. Unfortunately for me a whole bunch of out of town resellers have stumbled upon my 'honey hole' so I have to be quick. It's all good :)
Lynda Painter (6 months ago)
I do when I get the chance :) The nearest towns to us are 60 kms away and I will be visiting the area Salvos on on Wednesday.(They usually have good stuff but nowhere near as good as you pick up regularly). Adelaide city is 170 kms away, we do a day long round trip 3 or 4 times a year. I got a nod yesterday that another small town about half an hour away has opened an Op shop so we will be going there in the week. It's all good.
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
Lynda Painter ahhhhh you should do a thrift trip :) travel like an hour or two outside of town. It’s fun!
Julia RO (6 months ago)
You make it look so easy! A+

Randy Stone (6 months ago)
Hi Guys! Ryan, that N64 shirt is Lit! Love your new Eagle tank (I really need to send you something I have here that would go well with it!). It's perfectly legit to buy items and then resell them! We are paying the store their asking price, then selling the items for a profit, that's Capitalism. We shop the Thrifts and do a good amount of Retail Arbitrage...No shame in that game. Peace!

Great haul video, and super great explanation about resellers actually making the community better! I know you do very generous things for those in need-I'd like to contribute $50.00 to your next sandwich give-a-way, or whatever charity you chose. How I can contact you to mail my check? Thanks! Tis the season for thankfulness and giving!!

King Oliver (6 months ago)
I still don't understand why you guys always prefer the larger sizes? Aren't M/L better sizes to get and resell?
Randy Stone (6 months ago)
King Oliver: Also, "larger" people often prefer to shop at home, on-line. Thanks to the Ralli Roots Mentoring Group, we now absolutely kill it with 2XL and larger shirts.
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
Bigger sizes sell for more money

Had an interesting situation this morning. Checking my emails and saw one from PayPal showing a payment hold due to a buyer claiming an unauthorized or fraudulent purchase. Then another email of the payment release. I went into my PayPal and did not see anything about any claims, holds or or resolved issues. I tried looking for a phone number to call PayPal and couldn't find one anywhere. I hate that with both PayPal and eBay as they like to hide their contact information so that you can't call and talk with someone. It's always some automated system that gets you nowhere. The first email claimed that PayPal had sent me an email a few days ago to get my side of the transaction. I searched my emails all the way back to when the claimed item was sold and saw nothing from PayPal. There was nothing in eBay also from the buyer. The other strange thing is that both emails posted in my email account at 4:45 a.m. this morning. Not minutes or hours apart from each other. So I don't know if those emails were actually from PayPal or if they were phishing/spoof emails. **Just a heads up in case others get something like what I got. The emails did look official from PayPal. And like I said, I don't see anything in my eBay or PayPal accounts indicating that there was any issues from that buyer or any other buyer. The buyer had left me a 5 star review and I did check out the buyers page also to see if maybe there were some issues going on with them. They had over 1,300 positive transactions. I just don't know what to think.
Jimmy Gallop (6 months ago)
remember to never go from email to pay pal always open another tab or window to go to any secure site and check for the secure indication in the address bar
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
weird. yeah usually anything like that will be in your open cases section on paypal

It's pretty simple: I see a N64 shirt, I thumbs-up the video.
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
Love that. Same lol
5797029 (6 months ago)
I like to figure out how much I am making per hour also. That $60 figure is pretty easy to get to if you know what you are looking at. I usually fall back to what I know best to streamline the process. This gives me the best return on time invested but I always keep my eye open for something out of my comfort zone.
Kelli (6 months ago)
Always learning something new watching y'all's videos :) One of these days I may just get my rear end off the back burner and actually try my hand at re-selling. but for now I'm still watching and learning, and pondering. Specially since I have no actual money to start out with , when every cent you get goes straight to the bills, It's a little harder to start an adventure that is supposed to help you get your head above water a little bit.. lol
Randy Stone (6 months ago)
Kelli: Envision your dream, and just keep learning. Can you put away a few $ each week for a month, then hit the Thrift Stores/Church Sales, etc. for some start-up inventory? Stay motivated, re-selling can be a great life! Best of luck to you!!!
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
:) no worries at all, doesn't hurt to learn and I'm glad our vids are helping out!
Kyle Shapiro (6 months ago)
Hey, I live in south Florida near Palm Beach and I haven't been able to find many nice clothes to re sell there. Am I going to the wrong thrift stores or am I in a bad area for this or what? Thanks so much, you guys rock!

Don't be afraid to price the Lilly men's shorts high and accept offers! Those older men's labels are SO hard to find, and women love their guys to match their dresses (or just look good in matching family/couples photos, etc). And excellent point about thrift stores - it's a very misinformed old view that thrift / charity stores are only for the needy - often quite the opposite.
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
ooooohhh okay! We'll throw them up high. Thanks!
Susan Eljdid (6 months ago)
All i would like is an extra 300 or 400 month. Supplement my Social Security. Going to start!

Jake Schuh (28 days ago)
+5797029 thats good advice
I AM Ajay! (5 months ago)
I started exactly a month ago and I’ve made about $350 so far. Go to 99 cent stores and check out the clearance stuff at Walmart. I resell toys.
5797029 (6 months ago)
That is how we started 4 years ago when I was forced into early retirement. Within a couple of months we were selling 3-5k in men's clothing only. It is so easy. Today we are doing more than double that amount, limited only by how much time we want to devote to reselling. Start by getting the basics down and treat your buyers as you would like to be treated.
randezTV (6 months ago)
Susan Eljdid that’s definitely doable! Good luck 🙌

FYI on the Lacoste’s. You may already know that the crocs on the dress shirts embroidered and generally are not patches. I was researching on their website recently and it looks like they may have polos with the embroidered croc as well. Can’t really tell. I need to go into a store and confirm or maybe someone here can cnfirm. As of now, passing on embroidered croc in the casual/polo line.
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
Totally, yea we saw that video on the website as well. Strange...the dress shirts are embroidered yes, and they actually sell better for us.
5797029 (6 months ago)
We come across so many Lacoste shirts. We leave a lot behind for the reasons Ryan used and others because they don't look right. On the polos the aligator is a patch with no junk on the backside. Most but not all have the two hole buttons. I always look for the Devanlay tag on the inside. Vintage Lacoste can have the Izod brand on label also. Found another one this week. I have seen straight vintage Izods with the Lacoste aligators. I found one in my closet from the 80s or 90s. Still learning.

Alli's reaction to your new tank top!!! 🤣 Priceless!
Aaron Ryan (6 months ago)
Good point on the resellers and thrift stores. You should also research your thrift stores and really any charity that you give or get involved with. My good stuff goes to St Vincent DePauls as they will give the clothes to those in need and my less desirable and junk from storage units straight to the Blue place.
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
Totally! Good point yes.
rocky jaydog (6 months ago)
Most of those prices we cant buy at unfortunately, New York is very expensive. Once a week salvation army has a half price sale on most Walmart and target brands. Its a very selective half price sale. Any decent stuff starts at around 7.50 to 14.99.

MarkH10 (6 months ago)
People seem to willfully misunderstand charity fund raising and charity relieve to those in need. If a charity has a $1000 a ticket gala, black tie dinner at the Four Seasons. A) don't expect random hungry people in need. B) expect anyone in need who appears as a person being assisted to be lucid and we'll dressed. C) expect the charity to receive 30-40 percent of the proceeds Here in Las Vegas, the LV Rescue Mission has a public store for fund raising by purchase, AND a relief store for qualified recipients who have a budget established by voucher.
Sonia Spencer (6 months ago)

That Adidas jacket is firrrrrrrre
David Finley (6 months ago)
Ryan, you forgot the time needed to pack and ship the items. I am guessing another 2-3 hours?
Eric Stephenson (6 months ago)
They pack clothing as they list. I picked that up from them a while back and it’s absurd how much time it saves. I personally let the shirts pile up a little and pack them in batches so I can get into a rhythm and get through it a little quicker. Then shipping a shirt is legitimately putting the packed shirt in a polymailer and labeling it.
Rita Bradford (6 months ago)
RALLI ROOTS that's really fast! I can't imagine being that fast. I guess I need to hustle more.
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
David Finley nah I included that. Working by myself I can get about 20 items an hour pictured, packed up & listed.

Great video--however, not every thrift store is promising and some others have great deals--I think I get the best deals are from yard sales but they are limited in my area. You folks get some great yard sale finds also. Great video as always.
B K (6 months ago)
Living in the south, I find those "conservative" t-shirt brands regularly and they sell decent. Grunt style nwt is pretty cheap as it is, but another brand that sells pretty well used (and fast) is called Rowdy Gentleman.

LQD INFO (6 months ago)
Cool and Great Video! I picked up a bunch of t-shirts for $1.50 USD and sold them between $15-25 each. I don't have the overhead now, so I don't mind selling them... I just sold a vintage pepsi collectors die cast bank delivery van for $55 USD with shipping! I have 8 more to sell... Sales are picking up! I sell clothing, hard goods and other items that I can flip for a profit... I do it full time and love it! Working form home is best, no commuting an hour anywhere... My wife is my QA specialist when it comes to buying clothes and ties, and she has a good eye for good selling items... because I can't see too well...lol Have a great weekend! Joe B from Canada!
Sourced From Paradise! (6 months ago)
I actually flipped my business model this past year. I've always sold NWT clothing and I'm finding thrift store finds to be much more lucrative. When I was buying wholesale, as soon as I'd list mdse. 1000 others were listing the same stuff and demand/price plummeted. I find much more unique items at thrift stores. However, my local thrifts inventory hasn't been turning over which brings up a question. How often to do you guys go to the same thrift store to check to see if they have stocked new mdse on their shelves? As always, Thank you!!
RALLI ROOTS (6 months ago)
Nice! We usually go thrifting once a week but a lot of stores do restock daily!
Nacho TV (6 months ago)
Lately I've been going to the same thrift stores within the same week and often I've purchased items that just came out that same day if not the day before. But it just may really depend where you source.
Ching Ching Chadd (6 months ago)
but people just dont get it or understand the protocol. not to mention patience and perverseness u need. but those that do, reap the benefits.
