In this video men's style, grooming, fitness and lifestyle expert, Aaron Marino of http://www.iamalpham.com http://www.aaronmarino.com http://www.peteandpedro.com, talks about the most versatile men's summer shirt and three ways to wear this perfect summer shirt. The white button down short sleeved oxford is a men's summer style essential. Summer style, men's summer shirts, men's summer essentials, white button down oxford.
Aaron Marino of alpha m. repeats that the solid white button-up dress shirt is the most perfect shirt. It's a blank canvas that you can build from, so anything matches! It's clean, crisp, simple, timeless, and elegant.
Well, Alpha gets a ton of emails what shirt to wear in the summer or in hot climates, It's this one- the short sleeve white oxford! It's simple and versatile. Alpha discusses how he tailored his and how to style with shorts, jeans, and slacks. He also talks about variations and versions of this short sleeve white oxford.
The simpler the better, but pay attention to the material (and nipples showing). Size and fit are everything, and tailor to get a better fit for about $10. You can find great deals on discount racks.
Short sleeve button downs only look good if you're jacked. Aaron has huge arms and this shirt still has baggy sleeves. Big time no-go. I bet he would agree 2 years later and wouldn't support this look today. The same shirt with long sleeves rolled up would look 100x better.
Hi Alpha, greetings from Colombia, South America. Just to congratulate you for this awesome channel, keep going like that. You hace been a blessing in my life. Thanks God, you and your channel exists 👍💪👊
Would you please do a video, if you have not already done so, is what colors go best with what skin tones.
Obviously, because of varying skin tones, what color might look great on one guy, might not look great on another.
I'm not trying to tell you your business, I just think a lot of guys out there could benefit from such information.
Contrast, contrast, contrast. If you're fair skinned, wear dark. If you're dark skinned, wear light. If you're medium colored, then just find a contrasting color. I'm not absolutely sure if this applies to everyday clothes, but for formal attire it applies.
You should never wear short sleeved shirt. It's not a shirt. Its something that looks like shirt but it's not. It looks bad and "unclassy". Like the square toe shoes!
Maybe you have different opinion on this in US but in Europe even an old man will wear short sleeved shirt only if he has to work in his garden.
Hey alpha, I love your stuff. Watching your videos has really helped me with my self confidence and the overall way i present and carry myself. I was wondering if you have an H&M in your area and if you do you should totally check it out. And anyone, please correct me if H&M is only exclusive to certain states or something like that. Thanks.
I'm glad you didn't say to get a linen shirt. In south Florida it's always summer but the only people who wear linen shirts are elderly Cuban men and TOURISTS. Avoid them like the plague and buy a poly or poly cotton blend bowling or "camp" shirt and not one of those horrible Hawaiian print deals either solid white, cream or even lighter blues are great. IMO.
The white Oxford, a light pink Oxford, and a chambray shirt for summer, even better if its a pop over. Those are more options if you don't want a white button up Oxford. But I agree the white short sleeve oxford is a must.
i am a little confused. you told us in your older videos that we should never wear short sleeve dress shirts, that we should just roll up the sleeves on our long sleeve dress shirts when wearing them with jeans, shorts, slacks, etc. What changed?
Good info on the shirt. Could you elaborate or even do a video on when to wear shirt out, tuck in, etc. Seems like most guys are wearing out these days, but what about when you want to be a bit more formal? Thanks for the vids!
Allsaints do a good slim fitting shirt already in white called the redondo. One of the best shirts you'll find. Great cotton material and comes in long and short sleeve. Only thing to solve the sleeves is to roll up once or possibly twice. Depending how tight it becomes. I know since I work there :)
I know you did a vid on skinny jeans a while back. i'm curious and wonder if you can talk about slim fit jeans and really why they have taken over the market. A lot of stores sell their best washes and colors in slim fit cuts while the other cuts and fits are very plain. It is really frustrating. Banana Republic particularly tends to sell their best washes and colors in slim fit...just curious why it has taken over so much because let's face it, the majority of dudes I know can't pull it off.
I love a white shirt. You are so right. Also I find that if you are more slim buying a shirt that is "extra slim fit" works. I tend to buy my nicer shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt that sells in classic, slim fit, and extra slim fit sizes.
