Great tips I'm just starting out and found your channel. Your channel has been so helpful and I've learned so much.

Hey guys! When using abbreviations in the title of a listing (nwt, nib, vtg), is it best to use uppercase or lowercase? I remember a previous video where you had met with a fella from eBay and there was talk of uppercase vs lowercase.
David Eastman (1 month ago)
You can negotiate with ups on shipping rates....know your solid items, (number of) and know the weights for ups...good luck

Hi guys. We are huge fan of your channel. I learned so much from it. All good vibes. I'm getting ready to buy a small pallet with some goods. I see you guys have sellers sign a form. I'll like some ideas on how to create a form of my own. Thank you. Can wait to see more new videos.

Love this! Great advice! Thanks so much for a video like this! Would love an updated one with more knowledge! Things are always changing on the eBay and other selling platforms so if you have anymore knowledge I would love to have it! 😜✌️😋

How realistic of a goal is it to make $2,000 in sales if I work on listing and sourcing every day, say 4 hours a day? I have already been doing it a year and I have the process down I just have to commit to listing more. I ask because I want to replace my income working 9-5 with online sales. Then, later on, diversify revenue streams.
RALLI ROOTS (3 months ago)
Very realistic if you have that kind of time to dedicate to it. You may also want to mix in some bulk and auction buys
JD Burdee (4 months ago)
Interesting! I never knew NWT and New With Tags were interchangeable in the search algorithm.
Anthony Nunya (5 months ago)
I think you both are cool and break things down to make it as simple as possible.. like I said on a previous post, I'm new to this and going to give it a try because I DO have lots of off and ends that I can get a couple of dollars on.. thanks for your vids!!!
T Koontz (5 months ago)
I noticed that the shipping auto populates to priority shipping and quotes 3-5 shipping days with a cost of $2.40. In Oregon my priority shipping is $7.20. How do I ensure that the buyer doesn't show priority shipping only? I cant get it to adjust any lower. I have to manually adjust the total due for shipment, explain in my description that my local area shipping is 8 days. Or just say free shipping.
The Real Estate Project (8 months ago)
You forgot to mention that along with calculating shipping costs to also factor in eBay fees. Great video.

I’ve applied many different techniques that stated to help me make money on the web within hours but none of them really worked. The good news is, my buddy told me about this money-making approach known as *MyOnlineSelling. Com* This strategy has allowed me to gain over a hundred bucks daily by selling products on ebay and amazon

Great info as always. Quick question...what kind of printer do you use? I have an inkjet printer and I sold a book last night and went to print out the label and my printer is apparently out of black ink. So I’m gonna buy a new printer (wireless preferably), but I want a good one, though I don’t have a lot of money to purchase an expensive one but I’d like to keep it under $100. Have a great day and keep up the awesomeness 😎
ninja warrior (9 months ago)
My first and only sale on.ebay recently I lost everything. I accidently deleted my sold listing thinking I was in.draft listing. I already shipped the item that cost me $11.80 and I only charged $4.99 on.ebay and lost all the money because PayPal is being dumb and won't link to eBay. I sold an Amazon echo dot. I lost like $60 right there. And now nothing is being sold on eBay. Everything is selling faster on let go and fb market. I wish I could sell more on eBay but with only 1 review at 100% feedback I'm not selling anything.

Hey guys! Thanks for your time and effort making the videos. Can you help me please with some questions. Recently I bought a bunch of toys, games etc after the Christmas sale. Some toys I shipped to FBA (if it was ungated category), some of them I listed on ebay. And I see that 90% of my toys wasn't bought (I am actually going to return them today ). Do you sell TOYS/GAMES etc ? Whats your opinion about selling the items from this category on Ebay? Many thanks!
Ana Danova (1 year ago)
RALLI ROOTS on eBay. Amazon seems more positive. At least if something I have 90 days to return it:) Happy Holidays and thanks for your answer;)
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
hi there. what do you mean, the toys you sent to amazon didn't sell or the ones on ebay? we're only a week and a half into the new year, stuff takes time to sell, especially toys now, its not season anymore.
Cash4Fruit (1 year ago)
I agree with these tips, I do think it's interesting though, as a smart buyer I often click on and buy poorly listed items because I can get a good deal. I just bought an item like that today, It was a blouse with a terrible pic for $11 but I had seen that same blouse listed for $50 with a nice pic and listing, I will use the pics and description from the nice listing and relist it. haha

go into your cell ebay app, pick an item that has fewer views, no watchers, an item that has just been sitting there dead on the water... go into the revise it... open the price changer... if there are no suggested prices in yellow then go back to your Title and revise it... you may need to remove a few words, change a few words to help the ebay computer algorithyms pick up and recognize your item. If there is no suggested pricing then your item is a ghost to ebay! I figured this out on my own but I swear it works!!!
Kelly (9 months ago)
I was just wandering about that you know how Ebay tells you what to sell it for. Do you use that price or go off of sold and comps. I’m listing a lot of BNOS Scrapbook Dies right now
MakingEndsMeet (1 year ago)
it does not work with some vintage items that have no comparables, like vintage TV parts, but works great with most of your clothing! Happy to help ☺
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
awesome tip!!!
Leanna PH (1 year ago)
You both are amazing! I always love your videos! <3I may have missed it somewhere along the line of watching your videos, but I have a question. When you guys go to garage sales do you secretly scan items or do you scan items openly? Sometimes it's not possible to scan them in secret. What do you two do?
Old Man Picker (1 year ago)
Yep, I got called out once and when I told them I resell on ebay they said, "Then there's probably some stuff over here you'll be interested in". I think most people are generally good and want to help other people.
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
thanks so much!! :) you're right, we try to be sneaky about looking stuff up but we do get noticed, the thing is, most people having a garage sale just want to get rid of the stuff so they don't really care who's buying it lol. In hundreds, probably thousands of garage sales we've only been "called out" a couple times and at that point we're just honest and we let them know what we do for a living :) being nice always works out well!

Marc Taylor (1 year ago)
Great videos! I do have a question, being on the east coast, shipping priority can have a massive difference in price when shipping to different parts of the country ($12-$55). How would you account for that in a listing price so I can offer free shipping? Marking the item up that high is hurting sales. Should I just make those items not have free shipping? Thanks guys!
Marc Taylor (1 year ago)
RALLI ROOTS thank you so much for the reply that helps a ton. Keep up the great work.
RALLI ROOTS (1 year ago)
good question. we pretty much only ship priority if the item can fit in a padded flat rate envelope or a regional A box. after that if the item is heavier it goes fedex. smartpost or home delivery is usually the cheapest. On average an item about 9-10lbs shipped from florida to california costs us about $15 to ship. Hope that helps :)
ShavinMcCrotch (1 year ago)

2crazy98 (2 years ago)
I got a question for you guys! If I open an eBay store would it look bad to customers and hurt my sales if I'm selling all type of random stuff on my store? For example clothes, auto parts, video games?
2crazy98 (2 years ago)
RALLI ROOTS thanks for the info! Next week I start my eBay journey! :)
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
2crazy98 no worries! We eat the taxes. I'm assuming you're talking sales tax which you only have to pay if the item is sold within your state *I am not a CPA 😉
2crazy98 (2 years ago)
RALLI ROOTS great to hear! What do you guys do about taxes? Do you charge the customer or do you eat the cost? BTW you guys have been super helpful and motivating!
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
2crazy98 nah, we sell al sorts of random stuff. You can categorize your items into categories on your store as well.

Hi guys! Great video. I knew all of these tips but it can't hurt to hear them again.. what I didn't know, and I learned (thank you!) is that when people type "New in box" that it will pull up the abbreviations like NWT and I didn't even know to use VTG. Awesome! I have heard your name mentioned from other resellers that I watch. I subscribed to your channel and now I'm going to watch you! Lonnie had some really nice things to say about you guys. Keep up the good work, and thanks for the tips. I have been a reseller for 4 years, I do it part time, I have a full time job.
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
YEA! isn't that awesome about the key words! saves a ton of space! AWE THANK YOU!!! Please tell Lonnie we said thank you so much! We don't usually get to see the things other awesome resellers say about us and that really means a lot!!!!

RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
thank you!!!! we try we try :) yeah, totally fainting goats are hilarious lol
theshredguy (2 years ago)
Found you guys on the States Place tip video. Love the upbeat super fun attitude. One tip that is a pet peeve of mine, (but is industry wide and will probably never change) is the misuse of the word "vintage". Vintage is NOT a specific age or old item. It is the year. As in vintage wine, which could be vintage 1906 or vintage 2015. Not like antique, which can have age attached to it. Just fyi.😉
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
theshredguy hahaha that's okay :)
theshredguy (2 years ago)
RALLI ROOTS I know, right? It's whatever the public "thinks" it means. I'm just a bit of a word and grammar Nazi. The other one is arbitrage. NEVER used correctly by resellers. They should be saying "sourcing". Oh well, I'll just cringe every time I hear Ryan use it incorrectly. 🤣
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
theshredguy oh nice! Haha that's a good tip however we have to go by how the public uses the word when we're selling an item. Vintage just means old to most people 😉

RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
we've heard NZ is a tough market. We spent a year out in AUS and that was a smaller market but not too bad. Good salvos over there.
5797029 (2 years ago)
Great to see you back. Loved your vacation videos. Your trip is my wifes dream. On your first tip. If there are few sold items I go back to see how many are listed. An example is 4 sold and 1 or none listed can mean a fast sale. On the other hand, 4 sold and 50 listed not so good. Asking prices vs sold prices and the dreaded auction selling prices, where an item is practically given away needs to be considered. Like you said before, your cost for the item makes all the difference in your pricing flexibility. I gave up on best offer and free shipping a long time ago. Sales and profit have increased steadily since stopping them. I ship many larger items now and actually make a little on shipping to cover supplies. Keep up the good work. Mike S.
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
Thanks Mike! Glad you're liking the vids :) yeah, there are definitely many different ways to get to the final point we all want which is profit! We know a lot of sellers who charge for shipping and who don't do best offer but for us and the items/way we sell free shipping and best offer is the way to go. Our eBay model is based on turning as much inventory for min 100%+ net profit, as fast as possible. All the best and thanks for watching!

Can you show the process from very beginning,(signing up),to being paid , utilizing FBA? Also, with electronics, how do know theyre in perfect working order? i would worry about return rate or complaints due to any of the various functions of electronic items not working properly.
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
MJ623NY for sure. We plan on doing more tutorials in the future. With electronics we always test the ones we can. If untested we make sure the investment isn't that much so that if there are refunds or returns we can work that into our bottom line. It's very rare that electronics we buy are broken.

Hi do you recommend promoting listings with high quantities? Thanks.
Ummk (2 years ago)
Thank you I appreciate the help👍
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
YES! that and put the item on sale. Promoted listings do work well. I wouldn't go over 15% though. Watch those fees.
Kilroy (2 years ago)
Great video! Can you make a video about the basics on how to set up an ebay store and sell on Amazon? Also, when you buy things at garage sales, do you remove their price stickers? If so, what is the best way to do so? (Especially on items that are still in cellophane without destroying the wrapping). Thank you for the great videos!
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
Those are great ideas for vids. We will definitely cover that in future episodes :)
Maribru Craftsnfinds (2 years ago)
Good tip on the NWT and Vtg. I usually would type Vintage, now I know! Thank you for another great video!
Paul DeLeo (2 years ago)
Maribru Craftsnfinds Agreed. I didn't realize that eBay search would return listings that use acronyms in the title even though the terms were spelled out by the person searching👍🏻
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
No worries!! Glad we could help out :)
Mohammed Moqbel (2 years ago)
Great content. What's the percentage you estimate about those buyers who didn't use best offer option but they use buy it now without making an offer?
Mohammed Moqbel (2 years ago)
RALLI ROOTS (2 years ago)
Mohammed Ali more than half of our buyers just buy without submitting an offer and on average we only give about a 10-15% discount on offers so it works out well.
