Weirdest cat behaviors explained! These are the top strange cat behaviors and how to understand cats and weird cat behaviors explained!
18. Random sprint - Does your cat run at a super fast speed and bounce off the couch out of nowhere? Don’t worry this is totally normal; cats can run up to 31 miles per hour, they're just getting their exercise in for the day! Most house cats have an extreme amount of energy that gets pent up and needs to be released. If they don’t get regular exercise on their own, they might need some more playful attention to avoid random sprints around the house.
17. Unladylike sitting - Why do people sit in unladylike positions? Well because it’s comfortable of course. Same goes for cats; when they are sprawled out with their legs open, that means they’re simply relaxed, trusting you, and happy. This means they know they are safe so they can relax.
16. Brings you presents- A dead rodent or bug at your feet might not be what you always wanted, but there are lots of theories about why your cat insists on doing this. As a kitten their mother might have brought them back a dead prey, so that’s where they got it from. Paying them more attention when they do this might be encouraging this behavior. Maybe they're being generous and saying thank you for feeding her or maybe sharing a successful hunt with you. This is them sharing what they caught with you as if you were a part of its real cat family. When cats are able to get more food than they need to eat, they might bring back extra kills to other members of the colony, especially kittens and nursing mothers. So your cat might just think you could use some help having enough to eat. Although this is a gross habit from a human’s perspective, don’t punish your cat for doing something that is only natural to them, because they don’t know any better. Instead try keeping them indoors, or put a bell on their collar to make it more difficult for them to catch prey.
the problem with this video is that it's only addressing half of the behaviour's meaning. For instance, them staring at you is all in how their pupils appear, dilation indicates they're aware and willing to pounce, mostly noticed when you're playing with them using a toy that resembles a mouse, commonly. Them simply staring at you can easily be recognized as simple curiosity or because you're just looking at them, too.

Wow, this video is based on my cat
I have a stray cat that I regularly feed. She greets me by rubbing on the wall or staircase, but she's not comfortable letting me pet her. She backs away when I put my hand out. How do I make her be okay with it ???
My cat drinks out of an aquarium that I have set up just for her. There are no fish in it. But the external power filter keeps the water fresh and moving. Plus, 10 gallons of freshwater puts you ahead of the game.
Don't put a bell on your cat's collar. Cats main sense is their hearing and having a bell jangling will mean it will distract them from more important sounds, such as a car approaching. Collars in general are a bad idea as they can also get caught on things and trap the cat.
The people who put this video together didn’t think it was inappropriate for that chick to wear that tight tank top with her bra pushing up her tits? And on top of that, did she not feel stupid standing there trying to give informative info while here tits are out like that?
I have to say that everytime she was shown I became more annoyed, I don’t care what people wear but there’s a time and a place for everything and this video was not it. She looked dumb
My cats love card board boxes
And I have 5 cats and I think just about all of them chew on plastic bags and stuff. I really don’t think they’re eating it. I’m pretty sure they’re jus chewing. All my cats are 9 years old so they been doin it for ever.
cole geddes - when they are kittens they will raise their tails to show their mother that they are cleaning themselves well. As they get older and more familiar with humans, they will do the same thing to show you that they are taking care of themselves.
I'm a dog person, BUT, my mom's cats have done some of these things, they have stared at me, rubbed on me, and kneaded me, all of these things seem to be all done because they want your attention. I have come to love these cats, BUT, I really love dogs more than cats. BUT, really I love cats too.
When cats stare at nothing, or when they run for no reason, it’s because they’re seeing gnurrs. It’s an old legend. Gnurrs are creatures that live in today when today becomes yesterday, kind of like Steven King’s Langoliers. As the present becomes the past, the gnurrs come out of the woodwork. Because they’re in our past, we can’t see them, but cats can. There, that’s a bit of folklore to enrich your day. Lol.
Bought 2 kittens recently. Only behaviors I've seen is hissing. They might come near me somewhat wen I have food.
But no touching or trying pick them two little demons up.. at the very least they love good killing insects that fly ur window or mice.. works for me.
Sometimes Lion rubs his head on me,ear twists, puts his paws on me,drinks from the toilet a bit, stays up at night(like I do lol),and etc. Not really everything about the video once again ITS NOT A FREAKING LION it's just a name because one time I was at my school and talked about Lion people thought it was an actual Lion!REALLY?!?!WHY ON EARTH WOULD THEY THINK THAT?!?!In our old department a few years ago,Tiger and Lion who were brothers gave us a big dead mouse,IN A CHAIR. A few months later,Tiger ran away and he was kinda mean and they fought too much so it's actually a good thing he is gone. However, the rat giving behavior stopped because there are not many mice for Lion to hunt.He would go outside sometimes with his girlfriend black cat.We call her that because she is very black and has yellow eyes, one time she was on our shed roof looking for Lion in my room,my mama said that he better go to his girlfriend XD kinda funny!Sometimes Lion would get in the way of the TV sometimes to get attention,or to relax which he did one time, however he lays on the stairs sometimes and I may find him asleep there.Sometimes he gets on my bed one time I was playing WildCraft on my tablet and out of nowhere,Lion jumps and claws my stomach to get on the bed, ouch! He would sleep between me and Tremaine to get comfortable and feel safe. However he does chew on my big stuffed Tiger sometimes, everytime he sees it,he nibbles and claws it and bit, which left he hanging why does he do that...Anyway that's WAY TOO MUCH information so bye!
Cats are also super smart and catch onto your usual routines. For example, two of my cats wait for me at the top of my stairs when I get home from work. I only have to take two steps up and they'll run to where I go next... the bathroom, lol. They'll wait for me to come inside and shut the door, then one will jump in the window where I can reach her better, and the other will try to get in my lap. They know this because usually people spend a little time in that particular room and so your cat figures it's a great spot to corner you for attention (Which is perfectly fine). Cats are 100%.
so many of these are wrong. cats leave their poop uncovered to show they are alpha. they bring dead animals because you bring them food so they are returning the favour. The knead because they are happy.
I once visited someone who had a cat that would go wild whenever he smoked weed. He would dart at us and try to freak us out then run and circles and dart at us again. It's like he knew we were high and was messin with us. Either that or the second hand smoke just drove him wild.
I love the random illogic. they don't need an alterior motive for what they do. they just do it. who cares about explanation. mine sits alone on the easy chair watching TV with his pot tommie. also he can play dead like a true thesbian. he kneeds my bed and sits facing the TV when I am watching and he is in my lap, and turns his head back and upside down wanting to nub my nose, to me, he is just being almost human.
i know my cat since she was a month or less old and she was a street cat 9 months, i never saw a ginger cat besides her in that street, i think her mom and dad left her when she was really young, i feel sorry for her, she lived in the street where my aunt lived so she fed her (and the other cats in the street), even my aunt noticed she was the only ginger cat in the street, then a few weeks later a cat attacked her and did cuts to her, she needed to do a surgery, and after a month i decided to adopt her, since i adopted her she doesn't stop scratching, so i wonder, does she keep scratching cause of what happened to her in the past or is it normal for cats and all cats do that, i dont understand alot about cats so that's why i ask.
I have a 12 year old Persian cat, he has his daily schedule and people to play around him through the day but he just doesn't get tired and is in a hyper active mode practically through the night.. Any suggestions on how to keep him calm at night
