Sharon Gariano (1 year ago)
RockstarFlipper thanks, keep making videos. 🤣
RockstarFlipper (1 year ago)
No, you never know what they are gonna have. Go anytime, but get there early to make the best of it

Thanks for this! I live in Chicago, and the closest outlet is almost two hours away. So for the gas and the time, it's barely worth it. We do have a large variety of thrift stores locally; Goodwill, Salvation Army, Value Village and Unique are big chains here. We also have a couple pawn shops although those tend to be pretty high priced. What advice do you have for selling within certain niche categories, maybe a little obscure? I am pretty knowledgeable about some things that don't fall into really popular, easy/quick sale categories, so my sales are slower, but can be high profit if I'm patient and can write a good listing to attract that smaller market.
Benny poks (1 year ago)
hey do you sell perfumes or liquid items as well and if so whats the best shipping method?
Maria Diaz (1 year ago)
RockstarFlipper. i have a question do you sell more clothes on Ebay than amazon . thank you ☺
RockstarFlipper (1 year ago)
I DONT sell them. Too risky to me. They could break etc.
Christie (1 year ago)
just noticed last 3 posts are from a Crystal, Kristy & Christie🖒
Christie (1 year ago)
I'd like to see you do a video showing the prices you actually sold all the items you've shown us in your hauls. It would be interesting to see how close your profit predictions are ☺
Chris Hoffer (1 year ago)

RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)

Lance Teodecki (2 years ago)

RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Lance yes!! thank soo much. Thanks for commenting also
Wade Kutella (2 years ago)
You keep saying it will sell for this price and you will "net" this much....What does that mean. Is that because of your free shipping? Thanks. Your videos are one of the reasons I am starting to flip....
Rob Some Knowledge (1 year ago)
$2.40 fees on $10? On the highest end it should only be $1.59 right? Even without a eBay store the fee is 10% eBay, Paypal 2.9% + $0.30
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Wade yes. For example if i sell a price for $10, i will NET $5. $2.60 to ship and around $2.40 paypal and eBay fees which is $5 fees... leaving me $5 NET IN POCKET. My profit would be $4 if i paid $1 for the item
oreo (2 years ago)
How would you list those name brands?
Jackie (2 years ago)
How many items do you have listed in your store at any given time and how many items a DAY do you sell on average?
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Crystal we have 1700 items on eBay and sell about 20 per day. Most sellers say 1% is normal
Joy Gallaher (2 years ago)
We have a bins store two hours away. We are going to go to them once a month and also visit this Christian outlet in the same city which is huge. Spend the night, and spend two days.
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Joy yes, make the most of that trip. It'll be worth the time and money i hope.
Luis Jimenez (2 years ago)
Hi first of thanks for all the info you provide. Your one of my favorite ebay sellers to watch. I was wondering if you could do a full in depth video of the accounting, sales tax, buisness permit, basically legal stuff side of selling on ebay as a legitimate buisness
Luis Jimenez (2 years ago)
Oh okay, thank you! I will look for them.
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Luis i do have a video on all that, well actually a couple different ones breaking it up. If you can't find them tomorrow ill send a few links
Travis Floyd (2 years ago)
I can't believe today at the Goodwill Outlet I got a 1981 Coleco Donkey Kong tabletop game system for .70 and it works!
Travis Floyd (2 years ago)
RockstarFlipper 80 and up depending on the shape of it
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Wow! whats it currently going for?
Angie Mash (2 years ago)
Thanks again for the info! I had no idea to look for the columbia polos Thanks
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Yes columbia sells excellent. I sold 3 over the weekend $15 each button down shirts
Kristy G (2 years ago)
I don't go to the bins, and I almost always make at least $10 profits on clothing items. Just from regular Goodwill store items. You just have to go on sale days and know your brands and trends well. It pays to spend some time researching those things. When you say you're going to sell for $17, net $12, and make $8, are you offering free shipping? Also a question about Hawaiian shirts: I see these all the time. Do they all sell well, or only certain brands?
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Yes Kristy. If i sell for $17 thats with free shipping. So I'm spending $2.60 for shipping, $1.36 for ebay and $.79 on paypal which is $4.75 total or $12.25 NET. even on a $3-$4 cost item thats $8-$9 profit.
buttercup 12000 (2 years ago)

Also Salvation Army found a Daytona Helmet which I guess is the smallest allowable motorcycle helmet from the DOT it has a slight a mark on the top but other than that it has the dust bag, and I I paid $5.99,I might be able to sell it for about 30.00 ish.....what are you all finding?
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
At salvation army i find a lot of nursing scrubs, i found a disney statue i bought for $3 and sold for $19.99 and i found 3 ties i paid $5 total for and hopefully they sell for $8-$9 each
tom b (2 years ago)
Hey Casey nice finds, for those of us that have Salvation Army's close by... Found some good stuff recently. Paid $9.99 for one of those printers that are 4 x 6 they print photos now I personally don't need that but apparently they still sell well on Amazon for like $100 I am I'm restricted in that category so I listed it on eBay for 49.99+20 for shipping and it sold within 30 seconds. Fingers crossed no return... Was new never opened.
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
WOW Tom thats a score!! probably could got $59.99 :-) they sell super good. Great work i wish i could find them i sold a couple a long time ago
Liz Mc (2 years ago)
I got to the bin store for the 1st time today. Its the only one I can find in my state, took a hour there and a hour back but it was so much more then I thought it would be. I even got my hubby digging in the bins with me. :) I found so much & I did not even get past the 1st row of bins. lol Any other Re-Sellers in Oklahoma here ? :)
Craig Johnson (1 year ago)
I was just going to ask if people thought driving an hour one way to an outlet was worth it.
mason murray (1 year ago)
if you do the math it is not that expencive to go there if you have a car with good mpg for me the trip there and back is under $25 (117×2 miles)(gas price 1.80 average mpg 20.5) and if you buy four shirts that sell $10 a piece that gives you at least a $15 profit. i almost garentee you will make your money back plus more if you buy wisely. just a quick side note i am 14 but i know what i am talking about i am starting to help my mom with her ebay and the first time we went to the bins store i found 5 things selling around $15 a piece i plan to start selling on her account some if you see this comment rockstarflipper you have been a great help to me and my mom getting started
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
its addicting lol

TD Paul (2 years ago)
Hello Casey, I truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge about selling on eBay, and sourcing on other Ecommerce platforms. I have been watching your channel for almost a year. Keep up the great work!! Also, haters are going to hate. Ignore them!! Their just jealous, and will never amount to anything. Be Blessed and take care.
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Thanks soo much!! I know i don't let them get to me, sometimes I'm bored and respond to them lol
Mrs. ABB (2 years ago)
It is so hard to pay those elevated prices after shopping at the bins, but you keep us motivated anyway. Thanks for the video Casey!
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Thats great! sometimes those higher purchase prices can offset the spending with such high profits it dosnt matter.
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
YES!! It kills me everytime i do, but i think of it as "profit is profit" Thankfully my capital can take the bigger hit, but i know some people have to budget more.
Mark James (2 years ago)
Mrs. ABB You are right about that.I went today and spent $88 and my profit should be crazy. Polo,Under Armour,Nike,The North Face etc.I would be lost without em.lol
Rita Brooks (2 years ago)
Hey Casey, Does using Best Offer take alot of time? Do you set a minimum on the listing? I get lowball offers on things I don't even have Best Offer on. Does it move inventory faster? Do you set the price higher to start with? Maybe a future video would help. Tell me if you have one already. I do free shipping and am a believer. Do you think your listings appear higher if you list everyday? I know my sales slow down if I am not listing as frequently. I know I need to list, list, list. I'm only a part timer though. Ready for the 4th quarter push. Thanks man.
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Rita, Free shipping will put you higher in search rankings so thats a def YES!. just add the cost into the price. Best offers help move inventory NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. And you will get lowball offers which i just decline. You can set up to decline offers under a certain amount automatically to save on time.
Des Kallas (2 years ago)
I am so glad you did this video! THANK YOU CASEY!! I don't have bins either, but where I live I am surrounded by a lot of retail thrift stores. I've found a lot of plush, board games and smaller things like toys that are priced similar (I assume) to an outlet store. I haven't gotten into the clothing too much yet because I need to get more familiar with the brands. And I'm waiting for my poly bags to get here! 😊 But so far so good.
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Yes once you get into clothing you will start increasing your purchasing and sales on clothing at those thrift stores and salvation army if you have them. Or savers if you have any of those possibly?
Kristy Michas (2 years ago)
Your videos are so helpful to me !! Thank you so much !!
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Hey Kristy!! Thanks as always for being here!
Cynthia Parker (2 years ago)

loretta brown (2 years ago)
Hi Casey, you are Sooo cool what a nice person you are😃 my GW outlet has gone nuts with the prices since the holidays are coming.😞 I have started shopping other places.
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Bins raised their prices? ours never moves??
Jesse (2 years ago)
ebay is dead already
Jesse (2 years ago)
RockstarFlipper idk man not trying to knock down your hustle but you're items are selling really low
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
jesse navarro $9k. 25% is eBay fees. Paypal fees and shipping. Cost of goods is 10% so 35%. Meaning. 65% net profit or $9750. Call it $9k just to be safe. October sales ended a little late at $13,500. November and December will go up to 15-17k
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
jesse navarro TheElectronixZone1 I can hear the skepticism in your comments but honestly my $15k sales $9k profit is peanuts. There are guys making $25k. $50k. $100k. Profit. It's not that hard and not that unbelievable
Jesse (2 years ago)
RockstarFlipper how mucb is that profit ?
Jesse (2 years ago)
RockstarFlipper what's your ebay name?
MusicMichelle Kay (2 years ago)

spyder2016 (1 year ago)
RockstarFlipper what are "bins"?
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Yes i realize soo many people arnt lucky enough to have bins, so its important to source from other places and help those who have to do it that way
All Dressed Up Thrift (2 years ago)
At what point do you turn in people who Buy It Now, but don't pay? I've given two people almost a week. I've sent them an invoice, but nothing.
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Bay allows 3 days to make payment then you can open an unpaid item case. which i do if they don't pay by the end of the 3rd day. i send an invoice and usually 1-2 reminder emails.
All Dressed Up Thrift (2 years ago)
I've had a hard time getting that to work. For some reason it says my Paypal account is not recognized??? As soon as I un-click that option it works. I'm not techie at all but would love to figure out how to fix that. That would totally fix the problem of non-payers.
Joni Kramer (2 years ago)
Brandy Bass I have my settings to immediate payment required and unpaid item set for 48 hours
VinTroFlo (2 years ago)
Brandy Bass Sorry to hear that. My personal next step would be to get an idea of their track record from their feedback. If it's a good track record, I'd take into consideration anything big going on in the news or anything like that, which could have someone sidetracked. Since you've already sent invoices, plus sent friendly emails, it's personal choice now. You have up to 32 days after the listing ended to file the claim and still have a chance at getting fees refunded. Personally though, I'd probably give it until this evening, since it's Friday and most people get paid on Friday. If nothing happens by tonight or tomorrow morning, I'd personally open a case.
All Dressed Up Thrift (2 years ago)
VinTroFlo I sent them both a message nicely stating that as soon as I receive payment, I would mail the item. Nothing back from either.
Chief Stacks (2 years ago)
QUESTION: at what point did you buy the I8? What made you want to get it? Compared to when you where flipping on Craig's / car detail to now what's the % of profit difference
Chief Stacks (2 years ago)
+RockstarFlipper Thanks man! I watched you live last night. If you do end up coming to Dallas, Tx do a meet up, thats where I live.
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
I bought it in February so 10 months ago. I knew how much extra income i had and what the increase in payment from my old car to this was. I would have NEVER bought this 2 or 3 years ago. Or even last year. I probably jumped the gun a LITTLE this year and shoulda waited till after 4th quarter but its worked out. I don't wanna get into details of how much the payment difference is etc, but once the income monthly because more than the increase in payment and insurance i took the jump
David Hadley (2 years ago)
great video getting ready to start my eBay business getting some education first. How much Capitol should I start with.
Roxann E Johnson (1 year ago)
liz hough
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Start with your own items you don't want and then maybe get your feet wet with $50-$100. If you wanna jump head first and can budget $500-$1000 then jump on it
VinTroFlo (2 years ago)
David Hadley Start with things around your house first, to see if this is something you really like doing. Then go from there.
Gisele Johnson (2 years ago)
Q: what type of mannequins should I get?
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Either tabletop or full standing. Don't get the hang up ones i think there terrible
Gisele Johnson (2 years ago)
Thanks so much for doing this. I haven't started yet. I call this "selling on eBay school. I've watched some others but decided to mostly watch you. I tried for a little bit one before and gave up because I got discouraged
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
I include all my fees and shipping into the profits (25% expense cost). And yes MOST people will only earn moderate amounts of money but if you dedicate your self and do it full time you can easily make $5000+ or $10,000+ like i do.. Im living proof..... And i don't know what "Trust fund kid" means.... my parents are middle class, retired and my mom works for me on my payroll part time for extra cash....i have never been given anything in my life...sooo... and my youtube money is 3 digits..so i don't think I'm getting by on this.
RockstarFlipper (2 years ago)
Don't give up, keep with it!
Thrift Addict (2 years ago)
Probably because following what trust fund youtube kids say you'll likely be making minimum wage at best. Nothing wrong with that per se, but it's far from the easy "turn $30 into $300" that they headlines seem to promise. That's $300 being idealistic and doesn't include ebay/paypal fees, a huge amount of labor prepping, photoing, listing, shipping, returns and other misc. expenses.
VinTroFlo (2 years ago)
Gisele Johnson Why did you get discouraged?
Teresa Galliani (2 years ago)
hey can you lookout for a black T-shirt with Harley logo on front pocket. Also on the back a full layout of the eagle with Harley Davison word on it. For women size large, I've been looking but I can't find it. Thanks

I was just asking
