Giorgio Armani Documentary - Success Story
http://www.evancarmichael.com/support/ - SUPPORT ME :) Like this video? Please give it a thumbs up below and/or leave a comment - Thank you!!! My name is Evan Carmichael and I believe that the fastest and most effective way to build a business is to model the strategies of people who have already done what you're trying to do. I call it Modeling the Masters. My last post with almost 8,000 views was 3 Success Lessons from the Twitter Founders. Today we're going to take a closer look at how a young man from a war-torn country grew from poverty to becoming one of the top fashion designers in the world. This is the story of preeminent fashion designer Giorgio Armani and the top 3 lessons that you can learn from his success. "Remain true to yourself and your philosophy. Changing in the face of adversity will in fact diminish your credibility with your customers." - Giorgio Armani Giorgio Armani (born July 11, 1934) grew up in the small northern Italian town of Piacenza. Armani grew up in a family of five that was hard working, but never had too much money to go around. His childhood was not an easy one. The realities of the Second World War in which Italy was caught at the time, were all too apparent to the young Armani. After losing two young friends to a war bomb, Armani and his sister also became the target of machine gun fire from an overhead plane. However, Armani and his family survived the War and relocated to Milan. It was a city decidedly marked by class division, and one in which Armani's parents struggled to rebuild their lives. They found it hard to find their footing in this much bigger and tougher city than their little town of Piacenza. And so, he enrolled in the medical school at the University of Bologna, where he studied for two years to become a doctor. However, when he discovered that the sight of blood made him weak, Armani knew that line of work was not for him. In 1953, Armani was called to fulfill his military obligations, which he accepted eagerly as a chance to clear his head and gain new direction in his life. For all of his experience, Armani was assigned to the infirmary. However, he quickly grew bored with his prospects and realized that war life was not the romantic notion he had seen in the movies. He took a short break from the service and took a trip to Milan that would forever change his life. That was where he met a friend of his who happened to work at La Rinascente, Milan's largest department store, and who would give him his first break into the fashion industry. After the meeting, Armani said he had become a believer in destiny. That destiny has made him known for his classically tailored, sleek power suits and clean, high quality fabrics that everyone from the who's who of Hollywood to the bankers on Wall Street have fallen in love with. Now, Giorgio Armani S.p.A. has over $1.5 billion in revenue and a retail empire that extends to more than 35 countries. Action Item #1: Stick to Your Vision Action Item #2: Stretch Your Brand Action Item #3: Follow Your Conscience True Story Armani has designed clothing for some of the most influential people on the planet, but, according to Armani himself, some of his proudest designs were for Princess Charlene of Monaco. He has been clothing her since she first wore one of his pieces in 2008 at the Olympic Games in Beijing. He spoke to Vogue magazine about designing her wedding gown and believes Princess Charlene "knows how to wear my creations with nonchalance and confidence of youth." Getting to the point where royalty requests a specific designers clothing is considered the pinnacle of a designer's career, but Armani continues to challenge the market and re-invent his designs, which was shown in his design for Princess Charlene's wedding dress. According to Armani, "I felt the new design was appropriate given that there would inevitably be comparisons with Princess Grace, and though such comparisons are of course a sign of admiration, each person has their own individual and unique style, and style is an expression of the times." He goes on to say it was one of greatest creations. Quotes "In this business you can't have a destination, an arrival point. Otherwise your competitors will overtake you, or you become complacent." "The long and short of it for me is that the entrepreneur is the one who at the end decides yes or no and I like that even though it's a lot of responsibility." "I supposed it would have been great to invent something as classic and enduring as the tuxedo. But if I was collecting royalties, I wish I'd invented the corkscrew." What Do You Think? Do you keep your vision sharpened? Do you continually stretch your brand and expand your reach? Are you following your conscience? Tell me what you think by leaving a message below.

Pakistani fashion designers positive on trade
Subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe Subscribe to our channel http://bit.ly/AJSubscribe Pakistan is marking its 65th Independence Day on August 14. With a struggling economy, tense geo-political relationships and rising extremism, however, things have been less than positive for the country in recent years. Christian Dior | Fashion Designers
Watch more Fashion Designers and Fashion Brands videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/500167-Christian-Dior-Fashion-Designers Christian Dior was one of the most influential designers of the Twentieth Century and certainly one of the most famous. He studied political science and did a short stint running an art gallery. He started selling sketches to fashion designers around 1935. He went to work for the designer Robert Piguet in 1938 and he stayed there until he had to do his military during World War Two. After the war he went to work for another prominent designer, Lucien Lelong and he stayed there until 1946. With backing from a textile company he left Lelong and decided to open up his own Couture house. The first collection that he presented on February 12, 1947 was immediately successful and one of the most influential first collections in the history of fashion. The collection he presented on February 12, 1947 shortly became known as his New Look collection. That wasn't the name Dior gave to it, but it was actually kind of bestowed on him by Carmel Snow, an American fashion editor. The clothes were so luxurious and so much more lavish and feminine than what people had been used to during war time, Carmel Snow said, oh, Christian you've created this new look and the name stuck. Obviously, people all over referred to it as the New Look collection. It really defined fashion for the next ten years. After his first collection, Dior rose quickly to become one of the major taste makers in fashion. Every collection he unveiled was eagerly anticipated. People said, what is Christian Dior gonna show us for spring? What's the Dior line for winter? These things were really looked forward to. He experimented with a different silhouette every year. He was always inspired by beautiful fabric and fashion at this time really stressed a very sophisticated mature look and that Christian Dior really delivered. To prepare his collections he always sketched his concepts in secret. He went off to his country house and worked there and then kind of arrived in Paris with the idea for the next collection. Despite his power and his influence he was a very modest man and was very personable. His models and his employees all liked him. He was very influential as a taste maker for the next ten years. Even though his career was relatively short Christian Dior was amazingly influential as a fashion designer and the House of Dior continues to be a major force in high fashion.

Burberry | Fashion Designers
Watch more Fashion Designers and Fashion Brands videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/500139-Burberry-Fashion-Designers Burberry's emergence as a fashion brand is relatively recent. Until 1990's when the brand was kind of revitalized, it was seen as something that was very classic and rugged, but not necessarily fashionable. The brand was founded in 1856 by a man named Thomas Burberry, who ran a small, kind of outdoor outfitting shop in Basingstoke, England. He moved to London where the business really expanded. Burberry popularized the fabric gabardine, which is a very tightly woven fabric, which is really good for outerwear, especially for outerwear for sports. He appealed to a clientele that was really interested in hunting and fishing and lots of other outdoor activities. Burberry grew into having the reputation of being very correct in town, but also very rugged on the playing fields and out in the country. British army officers wore Burberry coats, a style that was known as the Tielocken, during the Boer War in the 1890's. In 1911, Burberry outfitted Roald Amundsen on his South Pole expedition. During World War I the company added epaulets and D rings to their Tielocken coat, and the trench coat was born. After the war, Burberry started to line the trench coats with their distinctive check, and registered the design as a trademark, and it's, of course, become one of the most copied design in fashion. Burberry has received several royal warrants for its products, and the royal warrant is a mark of distinction that you get from the British Royal Family when they like your products. The trench coats are among their most famous products. Humphrey Bogart wore one in Casablanca, Audrey Hepburn wore one in Breakfast at Tiffany's. In the late 1990's, Burberry decided to venture into fashion, to try to change their image from being eternally classic, to being more desirable as a fashion brand. They hired an American fashion executive, Rosemary Bravo, and she brought in an Italian designer, Roberto Menichetti, and he launched the line Prorsum, which is one of the important Burberry lines now. For the first time, Burberry presented runway shows, had ads with well-known models, and the Burberry check moved from the lining of trench coats onto everything from bikinis to clothing for pets. The Prorsum line takes its name from the Latin word that means forward, and it's found on the little banner on the Burberry logo. When Menichetti departed in 2001, Christopher Bailey succeeded him. He had had experience prior to this at Donna Karan and at Gucci, and it's under his direction that the company has really moved forward, with major ad campaigns, lots more fragrances, and very diverse line of products that still conveys classic Burberry, but with a lot more fashion sense.

Richmond describes his collection. "It's more taking inspiration of fabrics and colors, not so much the shapes, the shapes are still very much John Richmond shapes, guys that look sexy, guys that look rock & roll. It was interesting to take something that I never really used before. Fabrics and colors that are a little bit foreign to me. And it was fun to create, I suppose what people call rock & roll country." Richmond put his own spin on the collection with a mix of country boots and city jackets (leather, of course.) The glittery tuxedos at the end were a showstopper. The male models strutted down the runway to music from 60s England. euronews le mag - All eyes on "Fashion Rio"
http://www.euronews.com/ One of the main attractions on the opening day of the 22nd edition of Fashion Rio was Brazilian designer Alexandre Herchcovitch's 2013 winter collection. While bikinis are considered Brazil's bread and butter, the country's designers are not short of ideas for winter. Herchcovitch, who also exhibited at New York Fashion Week, mixed ethnic elements with a retro-futuristic look, an unusual combination but one which fashionistas say worked. The designer's trademark jeans were not left out; he teamed them with ponchos and coats. Another exotic combination was his colours - pinks, greens, reds, blues, greys and silver sometimes appeared in the same look. Behind the scenes at Daniele Schwartz's Oh Boy 2013 collection, there was the usual hive of activity with make-up artists and hairstylists putting last minute touches. Schwartz says her inspiration came from a popular photo sharing app, Instagram. It was a riot of crazy designs, stripes, textured fabrics, colourful short dresses and jumpsuits. A real dog and cat were even used as carried accessories. Find us on: Youtube http://bit.ly/zr3upY Facebook http://www.facebook.com/euronews.fans Twitter http://twitter.com/euronews

Hunter Boots | Fashion Designers
Watch more Fashion Designers and Fashion Brands videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/500136-Hunter-Boots-Fashion-Designers One of the most interesting footwear phenomenon of recent years is the story of Hunter boots. Seen on chic feet everywhere, they seem like an unlikely fashion accessory. The story of Hunter begins in 1855, when an American entrepreneur went to Scotland, looking for a place to build his rubber factory. Henry Lee Norris established the North British Rubber Company near Edinborough, and started making a range of products, including rain boots and golf balls. And, this coincided with the time period in which people were taking to the outdoors more than ever. Doing outdoor activities and really enjoying sports and leisure. Boots in this pull-on style, like Hunter boots, are called Wellies, which is short for Wellingtons. Named after the Duke of Wellington, who favored pull-on boots. The Duke was a fashionable guy and he gave his name to not just boots, but also a style of jacket. And possibly, the dish Beef Wellington. The most identifiable style, the Green Wellie, was first produced in 1955, and is now called the Original Hunter. During the 1980s, the company got an unexpected boost when Lady Diana Spencer, who later became Princess Diana, was photographed wearing Hunter boots. The Hunter look also fit in very well with the 1980s preoccupation with landed gentry and aristocratic looks. Hunter launched in the United States in 2005 and found a very receptive public. The boots are regularly seen in fashion magazines, often paired with things like evening gowns or beautiful suits. Kind of giving that, like, British country nonchalant look to fashion. The company has received several Royal Warrants which are the marks of distinction that a company receives when the British Royal Family likes your products. Maybe it's an indication of global warning or climate change that rain boots are now really considered a fashion accessory.

Pakistan Fashion Week London - Fashionista Fatima 2012 Review
Pakistan Fashion Week London 2012 -- Fashionista Fatima The High Lights & The Moment of Truth "Fashion" is not limited to apparel & accessories but the way we dress, talk, technology we use, food we eat, friends & life style we have & a lot ...more. British fashion industry contributes nearly £21bn to the UK economy but unfortunately its importance in our society is much underrated. Despite unfavourable circumstances Pakistan has made its mark on the global fashion stage creating millions of jobs & foreign exchange. Pakistan is the second largest exporter of textiles, which shows that given the opportunity this industry has the potential to grow & contribute to economy. Pakistan Fashion Week London is an extension of this dogma. There is no doubt it is Pakistan's only liberal identity outside Pakistan and that too on such a big scale which can get even bigger if planned properly. Pakistan fashion week London - 26-27 May 2012 was bigger than last year with more than 30 designers & 60 models participating. It attracted thousands of significant individuals from both White & Asian community including buyers across UK. The designers included some of Pakistan's biggest names in fashion like, Deepak Parwani , Maria B, Ammar Belal, Maheen Khan, Rana Nauman and the most promising new talent "Batur". The featured designers also had a designer boutique lounge which allowed attendees to interact with designers & purchase items. Such events are a business platform more than anything else so we hope to see more & more international buyers from leading fashion houses & retail outlets across UK & Europe. These events help to "project Pakistan's real & positive image to the world, educate, empower & encourage new designers, promote Pakistani Textile & Fashion Industry and create favorable business platform for our young entrepreneurs. Like all other events there is always room for improvement & the way team is working, I can only see it getting bigger & better. Adnan Ansari, the Founder of Riwayat Ltd, with his team, Chris East, Sahiba Kaur, Huma Tahir wants to raise the profile of Pakistani fashion, music & literature. The first of these events was Pakistan Fashion Week London 2011 & Now PFWL 2012. Events like PFWL should be applauded, for they project a positive and progressive image of our country on an international platform. Burberry Prorsum Fall/Winter 2012/13: Town and Country Collide at London Fashion Week | FashionTV
SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/FashionTVSUB http://www.FashionTV.com/videos LONDON - Burberry Prorsum as run by head designer Christopher Bailey may be one of those labels that not only screams British fashion but is also mainstream enough for everybody to understand its signature looks (preppy style, the Burberry trench, cable knit sweaters and more.) Inevitably, this makes us wonder, what will the label do this year to surpass the last? Or will it do the same old thing all over again? We assumed they might with the newsboy caps that replaced the color striped knit ones from last season. (Aren't newsboy caps so "been there, done that?" even with the Dickensian theme louder than ever this season?) But the rest of the collection (and the clothes themselves) left us hungry for more. The theme, this Fall/Winter 2012-2013 season at London Fashion Week, was "Town and Field" which literally meant taking two different worlds and melding them together. For Bailey and co., this meant mixing shapes (peplum and form fitting), mixing fabrics (lace and corduroy) and mixing styles (urban and countryside.) The town concept was decidedly more luxe with pencil skirts and a focus on the outerwear, while field was more nature-themed, with cartoonish animals (an owl on Julia Nobis for instance) embroidered on shirts. The fake rain that came at the end of the runway and poured on the models as they toted different colored umbrellas in a parade down the catwalk was a statement in itself at the end of another stellar show. Appearances: Herieth Paul, Cara Delevingne, Arizona Muse, Jourdan Dunn, Nyasha Matonhodze, Sarah Blomqvist, Julia Nobis, Liu Wen, Jasmine Tookes, Melissa Tammerijn SHOP http://shop.ftv.com CHANNEL http://youtube.com/FashionTV FACEBOOK http://facebook.com/FTV TWITTER http://twitter.com/FashionTV FashionTV's YouTube network features coverage of fashion shows, fashion week, runway highlights, front row celebs, backstage, hair and makeup, models, designers, photo shoots, red carpets at the biggest events in Hollywood, and much more. Tommy Hilfiger's "Town and Country" Fall 2012 Show at New York Fashion Week NYFW | FashionTV
SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/FashionTVSUB http://www.FashionTV.com/videos NEW YORK - Harvard student meets equestrian star? That was sort of the vibe that American sportswear maven Tommy Hilfiger was going for in his Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection at New York Fashion Week, which showcased styles of both. He called it, "Town and Country" and it certainly was, right down to the navy prepster coats, military themes for sharp jackets to be worn in the countryside, and cable knit sweaters. There was a slight semblance of a 70s vibe going on but it was stopped short in favor of Hilfiger's signature style. Designer Peter Som seems to know what works for the brand, even if we'd all like to see something just a little bit different. And the equestrian caps added a nice touch when needed. That being said, the brand remains to the US what Burberry is to the UK. Appearances: Maud Welzen, Jourdan Dunn, Bette Franke, Josefien Rodermans, Nimue Smit, Daria Strokous, Kendra Spears, Mirte Maas, Julia Nobis, Kasia Struss, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Sarah Blomqvist, Ruby Aldridge, Karmen Pedaru, Joan Smalls, Zuzanna Bijoch, Tommy Hilfiger SHOP http://shop.ftv.com CHANNEL http://youtube.com/FashionTV FACEBOOK http://facebook.com/FTV TWITTER http://twitter.com/FashionTV FashionTV's YouTube network features coverage of fashion shows, fashion week, runway highlights, front row celebs, backstage, hair and makeup, models, designers, photo shoots, red carpets at the biggest events in Hollywood, and much more. Designers at Work - No. 21 Fall/Winter 2012-13: Alessandro Dell'Acqua | Milan Fashion Week | FashionTV
SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/FashionTVSUB http://www.FashionTV.com/videos MILAN - FashionTV gets up close and personal with talented Italian fashion designer, Alessandro Dell'Acqua at the N°21 Fall/Winter 2012-13 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week. "Inspiration for the collection stemmed from an idea I had about Queen Elizabeth of England, not in her social life, but rather in her private life. I mixed this idea of regality, but when she does gardening or goes to the country", the designer tells us about his newest creation. N°21 is only about two years old and it's brilliant designer already knows how to define a young and fresh mind-set. As for the fabrics and detailing, "sometimes volumes are very mannish, with masculine-type shirts, there is a contrast between male and female styles. Tweeds are in yellow and black, red and black, grey and black", he explains. The bomber jacket made another reappearance during this fashion show along with a simple black dress embellished in oversized jewels. The collection was the perfect definition on mix and match. Dell'Acqua's designs this season summed up charm, femininity and sophistication. Valentin Yudashkin Spring/Summer 2013 at Volvo Fashion Week Moscow | FashionTV
SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/FashionTVSUB http://www.FashionTV.com/videos MOSCOW - One of the most sought after Russian designers, Valentin Yudashkin has already shown a Spring/Summer 2013 collection in Paris for Paris Fashion Week, and now it's time to go back to his native country for Volvo Fashion Week at Gostiny Dvor in Moscow. Yudashkin has been part of the association of Russian high fashion since 1995 and a member of the Parisian haute couture syndicate since 1996. He opened his first boutique in Moscow in 1997. A special laser lights presentation and showcase of the new Volvo V40 Cross Country Russian Premier took place. Yudashkin showcases a similar collection to the one he presented in Paris with stunning red, blue, and white masculine-inspired pantsuits with pussy bows and accompanying hats, gold metallic dresses, and fire-themed red carpet gowns that are perfect for a lavish affair or red carpet event. A factory located in the textile town of Prato selling its products directly to consumers. Abbigliamento uomo donna autunno inverno primavera estate. CALOZERO clothing Made in Italy. Visit the online shop, click here: http://calozero.it/ Italian fashion; Italy is one of the leading countries in fashion design, alongside others such as France, USA, Great Britain and Japan. Fashion has always been an important part of the country's cultural life and society, and Italians are well known for their attention to dressing-up well; "la bella figura", or good impression, remains traditional in the Italian way of living. Italian design became prominent ever since the 11th-16th centuries, when artistic development in Italy was at its peak. Cities such as Venice, Milan, Florence and Vicenza started to produce luxury goods, hats, cosmetics, jewelry and rich fabrics. During the 17th-early 20th centuries, Italian fashion lost its importance and lustre, and Europe's main trendsetter became France, with the great popularity of French fashion; this is due to the luxury dresses which were designed for the courtiers of Louis XIV. However, since the 1951-53 fashion soirées held by Giovanni Battista Giorgini in Florence, the "Italian school" started to compete with the French haute couture, and labels such as Ferragamo and Gucci began to contend with Chanel and Dior. In 2009, according to the Global Language Monitor, Milan, Italy's center of design, was ranked the top fashion capital of the world, and Rome was ranked 4th, and, despite both cities fell down places in subsequent rankings, in 2011, Florence entered as the 31st world fashion capital. Milan is generally considered to be part of the "big four" global fashion capitals, which, aside from the Italian city, consist of New York City, Paris and London; occasionally, the "big five" also includes Rome. Examples of major Italian fashion houses are: Gucci, Armani, Emilio Pucci, Valentino, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo, Roberto Cavalli, Trussardi, Versace, Krizia, Etro, Miu Miu, Laura Biagiotti, Max Mara, Fendi, Moschino, Missoni, Bottega Veneta, Benetton and Brioni (fashion),to name a few. Italy also is home to many fashion magazines, such as Grazia, Vogue Italia, Amica, Flair, Gioia. Other Italian accessory and jewelry brands, such as Luxottica and Bulgari are amongst the most important in the world. Fashion in Italy started to become the most fashionable in Europe since the 11th century, and powerful cities of the time, such as Venice, Milan, Florence, Vicenza and Rome began to produce robes, jewelry, textiles, shoes, fabrics, ornaments and elaborate dresses.Italian fashion reached its peak during the Renaissance. As Italy is widely recognized as the cradle and birthplace of the Renaissance, art, music, education, finance and philosophy flourished, and along with it, Italian fashion designs became immensely popular (especially those worn by the Medicis in Florence. The fashions of Queen Catherine de' Medici of France, were considered amongst the most fashionable in Europe). Florence is regarded by some as the birthplace and earliest center of the modern (post World War Two) fashion industry in Italy. The Florentine "soirées" of the early 1950s organized by Giovanni Battista Giorgini were events where several now-famous Italian designers participated in group shows and first garnered international attention. Florence has served as the home of the Italian fashion company Salvatore Ferragamo since 1928. Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, and Emilio Pucci are also headquartered in Florence. Other major players in the fashion industry such as Prada and Chanel have large offices and stores in Florence or its outskirts. Florence's main upscale shopping street is Via de' Tornabuoni, where major luxury fashion houses and jewelry labels, such as Armani and Bulgari, have their elegant boutiques. Via del Parione and Via Roma are other streets that are also well-known for their high-end fashion stores. - Abbigliamento uomo donna autunno inverno primavera estate CALOZERO clothing Made in Italy giubbotti jackets clothes dress wear dressing Fashion Style Beauty Designer Collection Mode Modeling Vogue Role Dior Armani Dolce Designers Boutique Jeans Pants Boots Tight Outfit Flash Dresses Modelling Fancy Jacket Hats Shorts Wearing Gloves Silk Shiny Dirty Satin Glasses Pink Wet Shoes Lace Outfits Coat Suit Shades Lycra Thigh Scarf Accessories Stocking Uniform Costume clothing clothes apparel dress wear attire dressing garb raiment array rig luxury CALOZERO clothing Made in Italy.
