Sarojini Nagar is a famous market in New Delhi. Located in South Delhi, Sarojini nagar Market is a dream destination for all the shopaholics out there. The reason is you get all sort of branded clothes here for as low as Rs 10. In this video, I have explored Sarojini Nagar Market on Monday. This market is officially shuts on Monday but surprisingly you get the most amazing deals at this market on Monday. You can get t-shirts from Zara, Disney, Levi, Gap, mango etc for as low as Rs 25 at this market on Monday. Delhi is famous for its number of markets offering branded shopping at affordable price. Sarojini Nagar market is one of the best markets to shop in Delhi. Not just clothes, you can even get jewelry, bags, home-decorating items, shoes, furnishing items etc, basically anything and everything at this market in Delhi. The branded surplus items being sold at this market for extremely pocket-friendly rates make this market even one of the cheapest and best markets in India. The nearest metro station to this market is INA or AIIMS metro station. You can take an electric rickshaw from the metro station and pay just Rs 10 for the ride. Since this market is extremely crowded and doesn’t have sufficient parking space, it is advisable to travel in metro to reach at this market. Avoid taking your car or two-wheelers because getting parking here is really a big deal. Other than shopping, Sarojini Nagar Market is also popular for its street food. Do try out the momos, pav-bhaji, milkshakes, sweets and a lot more when you are shopping in this market. This market opens around 11 AM and shuts at around 9-10 PM. P.S. Sarojini Nagar Market is one of my most favourite places to shop in Delhi ☺ . What’s yours? Do let me know in the comment below. In this video, I have explored Sarojini Nagar Market. Sarojini nagar is a famous market in South Delhi where you can buy branded clothes like Zara, Mango, gap, Benetton etc for as little as Rs 50. Located in the neighbourhood of South Delhi, Sarojini Nagar market is one of the best places to shop in Delhi. It is one of the markets where you can buy clothes, jewellery, shoes, bags, cosmetics for very cheap price. In fact, this market is the best affordable markets of India where you can buy fashionable clothes, shoes and bags for affordable price. The clothes what you get here are basically the export surplus garments which is why they are sold at throwaway prices. The only drawback of this market is that you won’t find any trail rooms here as the shops are on the streets. But, that won’t stop you from picking branded clothes for as low as Rs 100, isn’t it? This market remains closed on Monday but there is a catch. You will get cheapest shopping options on Monday as only a few vendors would sell the stuffs on the streets on Monday. The nearest metro station is INA Metro station. Other than shopping, Sarojini Nagar Market is also popular for its street food. Do try out the momos, pav-bhaji, milkshakes, sweets and a lot more when you are shopping in this market. This market opens around 11 AM and shuts at around 9-10 PM. New Video every Tuesday & Friday! Manali Tourist Places – How I Made It To All the Places In Just One Day | Tourism Video

13:48
Want to know about few of the best tourist places to visit in Manali? In this video, I have covered all the places to visit and things to do in Manali. Before you read the entire description of this 3rd vlog from my Manali series, make sure to watch my previous two Manali tourism video (links given below). I travelled to Manali in the Monsoon season in the month of July. I travelled from Delhi to Manali by bus and there after I booked my taxi on an app called ‘Klook’. I travelled from Manali to Rohtang Pass and to other tourist places in the cab, which was very economical. Here are the details about the places I have visited in this video: 1. Solang Valley – When you go to Manali in Himachal Pradesh, there are two places that you must visit. First one is Rohtang Pass and the second one is Solang Valley. This valley is also located at the distance of 14 kilometers from Manali. It lies between Solang village and the famous Beas Kund. This valley offers an extraordinarily beautiful view of glaciers and snowcapped mountains surrounding Manali. Solang valley is located at an altitude of 2050 Metre above sea level. This place is perfect for adventure lovers as there are many thrilling activities here that you can enjoy. People visit this valley to get indulged in activities like skiing, paragliding, ropeway (cable car), zorbing, ATV ride, horse riding and a lot more. There is also a training centre ‘the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports’here that trains you for skiing and mountaineering. You can visit this valley anytime of the year. It offers skiing in the winter, paragliding and other fun activities and summer. 2. Vashisht Temple – This temple is located inside Vashisht village which is just 1 km from the city and one of the must visit places in Manali. This village is crowded throughout the year as many tourists who visit Manali love to stay here than downtown as it provides cheap hotels and budget cafes. Vashisht temple has been named after Maharshi Vashisht. There is also a hot water spring here that pours naturally hot water. You would spot many people cooking rice in this hot water too. 3. German Bakery - There are 2-3 German Bakeries inside Vashisht village. It doesn’t matter which one visit, make sure you are trying out their delicious cakes, Yak cheese and cookies. The bakery is cheap and a perfect place for people looking for cheap places to eat or cozy cafes to hangout in Manali. 4. Hadimba Temple – This temple is one of the must visit places in Manali. Hadimba temple is locally known as ‘Dhungiri’ temple. It is 400 years old temple and pretty much untouched. There are has almost zero renovation of this temple. It is made of solid wood and showcases the brilliant architecture of Indian heritage. Manali to Rohtang Pass - Best Trip Of My Life | Naggar Castle | Beas Kund

17:25
#Manali #Delhi #RohtangPass This video is 2nd from my Manali series. I recently went to Rohtang Pass in Manali and that was one of the best trips of my life. I booked a cab on ‘KLOOK’ App (link below) and started from Manali early morning and on the way to Rohtang Pass, I also visited Naggar Castle, Rahala Falls, Marhi, Beas kund, and Rohtang Top. Rohtang Pass - It is located at an elevation of 3,978 m (13,050 ft) above sea level on the eastern Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, around 51 km from Manali. It holds a strategic importance for India as it connects Lahaul and Spiti Valleys to Kullu valley. The pass is closed for almost half of the year and is open only from May to November. I wish I had made to this place in the month of June though. This pass lies on the watershed between the Chenab and Beas basins. The Beas River emerges from underground at the Beas Kund, which is few meters away from the BRO post visible in this picture and flows southward. Also, one needs permit to visit/cross it. Permits are issued to the first 800 petrol vehicles and 400 diesel vehicles every day. This permit can only be applied for the next 2 days from the current date. No permits are issued on Tuesday as the day is marked for maintenance of Rohtang. Everyone says that it's not safe to go to Rohtang in the monsoon time. I agree that you would miss witnessing the snowcapped mountains in monsoon but every touch of even tiny drops of rainfall on your face which monsoon brings along with it will feel amazing. This pass is no doubt a little scary. Even its name means 'Bhoti' in Ladakhi language means "pile of corpses". This famous pass has got its infamous name due to numerous people dying in bad weather trying to cross the pass. Bollywood Director Imtiyaz Ali has made Rohtang Pass a fixed location in almost everyone's bucket list so who wouldn't fall for it! But this beautiful place has a well-deserved reputation for being dangerous as well. Naggar Castle – It is located at a distance of 21 kms from Manali and can be visited any time of the year. This 600 years old catle has been turned into a heritage hotel and is a must-visit place during your visit to Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Many famous Bollywood movies have been shot at this castle. In fact, the famous song “yeh ishq haaye, baithe bithaye” from the movie “Jab we Met” was also shot here. There is an entry ticket to this place which is just Rs 30/person. Beas Kund – This kund is located near Marhi enroute to Rohtang Pass and an awesome place to click some extraordinary pictures ☺ Klook Website: www.klook.com *Save Rs 200 using the Promo code: DESIGIRL * Users shall save the promo code in their KLOOK account on or before 31st October 2018 * Bookings with promo code must be made by 31st December 2018. * This promotion is only valid for KLOOK New App users only. * This promotion is valid for India users only. This villa is famous because many Bollywood films including Fanna, Jab We Met, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Purani Jeans etc have been shot here. This villa in Manali is famous for its Bollywood parties. Recently, Bhuvan Bam had also stayed at this villa during his shoot of the song ‘Sang Hoon Tere’. I have documented my entire journey from ISBT, Kashmere Gata Delhi to ISBT Manali, Himachal Pradesh and also a few places I stayed at. This is just the vlog 1 from my Manali series. There are many interesting content ahead including my visit to Beas Kund, Rohtang, Hadimba Temple, Vashishtha and more. So, remember to check out my next vlogs that would also be about Manali and nearby places. 1st Hotel: Hotel Neelam Grand. I paid Rs 3000+ tax for one day stay. Price varies depending upon the season and availability 2nd Hotel: Baragarh Villa - I Paid Rs 5500/day. Again price depends upon the season and availability. New Video every Wednesday & Sunday! Spiti Valley Tour | Road Trip From Manali To Gramphoo (Lahaul Valley) | DesiGirl Traveller

12:15
I recently came back from an amazing Spiti valley tour. I took a road trip to Spiti valley from Manali and it was the best trip of my life. While deciding on doing spiti valley tour, many gets confused as in which route to take – Shimla route to Spiti valley or the Manali road trip to Kaza in Spiti Valley. Honestly speaking, it totally depends on your choice, Shimla route to Spiti is a little longer and simpler while the Manali route to Spiti in Himachal is a little difficult and makes you travel through high altitude mountains to the low altitudes. . I did Spiti Trip in Himachal via Manali route. So, I started from manali to Rohtang Pass, then to Gramphoo, post that to Chhatru to Kunzum Pass to Losar (from where Spiti starts) and then finally enteretd Kaza which is the headquarter of Spiti. It was a 7 days trip, which I did with a group of people, and I booked this trip on ‘WanderOn’. They have an instagram page and a website too which I will mention later in this description. You can check their website for the Spiti valley Tour Cost. . We started at around 6 in the morning from Manali and reached Kaza by 8 PM travelling almost 210 Kms. The first stop was at Marhi where we had our breakfast. There are no other eating joints in between Marhi and Rohtang pass, so make sure to have your breakfast at this point. Plus, there are so many cafes in Marhi that sell munchies and cold drinks, water etc on MRP. After Marhi, you will see an intersection point. The road on the right side goes to Rohtang and the straight one goes to Solang Post our breakfast we headed towards Rohtang pass. . Rohtang top is the first of the amazing passes on way to Spiti valley. We travelled from Manali to uphill Rohtang La and then to downhill Gramphoo on the other side. Rohtang Pass is at the height of 13050 feet is the first mountain pass en route Spiti or even Leh. From Rohtang pass we started our journey 15 kms downhill to reach Gramphoo. Gramphoo is the place where the roads to Lahaul Valley and Spiti Valley seperates. One road goes to Leh and another one goes to Kunzum Pass which then leads to Kaza – the headquarter of Spiti Valley. . A few precautions to take while doing Spiti Trek or travelling to Spiti in Himachal– • Keep your body hydrated. Drink a lot of water and get ready to pee under the open sky :D • Avoid smoking and alcohol as much as possible as they tend to make you dehydrated. • Keep your body warm and eat more of carb rich food. ‘Sneakers’ work as great energy bar ☺ • Carry preventive medicines for Acute Mountain Sickness. Always consult a doctor before taking it. Right time to visit Spiti – You may ask what is the right time to travel to Spiti Valley. The answer is – it depends on which route you are taking. Shimla route is open throughout the year while Manali Route is close post October since Rohtang Pass is closed in winters. People go to Spiti in winters to experience the snowfall and struggle of moving through roads full of snow. I am yet to experience that, so I won’t be able to talk much on that. . I chose to visit Spiti in September since the weather is just perfect during this time of the year. It’s neither too hot in the day time nor it’s too cold in the nighttime. As a rule of thumb, avoid going to Spiti during monsoon especially in June or July because there would be risks of getting stuck in landslides in Gramphoo and chattru. . Don’t forget to check my next vlogs as I would be doing a series of vlogs on Spiti Valley. I am back from Spiti but I feel my heart is still there. Thrilling Bike Ride To Badrinath Temple & Mana Village | Uttrakhand Tourist Places | Travel Vlog

11:31
Here is my vlog on my recent visit to Badrinath temple and also to ‘Mana’ – the last village of India. I travelled from Delhi to Rishikesh to Devprayag to Joshimath to Badrinath Temple to Mana Village in just 3 days. Badrinath Temple – Located at the distance of approximately 550 km frm New Delhi via NH&, Badrinath Temple is one of the most famous pilgrimage sites of India. Badrinath Mandir is also known as the Badrinayan Temple. It is located in the Chamoli district of Uttrakhand at the height of approx. 3200 metre. This holy shrine of the Char Dham pilgrimage in India is said to be the pre-eminent abode of Lord Shiva. Other three sites that form Char Dham Yatra include Dwarka, Puri and Rameswaram. Badrinath temple is open every year for just 6 months between the end of March and beginning of November due to the extreme weather in the Himalayan region. Devprayag – It is also known as the Town of Godly Confluence. Devprayag is located at the height of 830 metres above sea level. It is the holy confluence of the Alaknanda River and also the last Prayag. This place is the sangam of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi River. Mana Village – It is the last village of India and has also been given the name as “Tourism Village” by Uttrakhand Tourism. This village falls in the district of Chamoli in Uttrakhand. Located at an altitude of 3200 meteres, Mana Village is just 24 kilometeres from the India-Tibet border. This village is situated at the bank of Saraswati River. It is just 3 km from the holy pilgrimage Badrinath Temple. This beautiful village is surrounded by Himalayn Hills and definitely deserves a visit at least once in your lifetime. After my visit to Mana Village, I wanted to continue my journey to Auli via Ropeway. Unfortunately, I got late to the Ropeway point and missed experiencing it. So guys, this was one of the best trips of my life. I hope you enjoy this video (travel vlog) as much as I enjoyed making it for you all. Do share your feedback in the comment below. Daryaganj Sunday Book Market | Buy Books for Rs 100 Per Kg | Old Delhi Markets

09:00
In this video, I have explored Daryaganj Sunday Book Market. This market is in Old Delhi and opens only on Sunday. This Sunday book market at Daryaganj is not a usual market that you are used to seeing in the capital city of India. You would find books all over the streets of Daryaganj on Sunday morning. These books are sold at dirt cheap price, as little as Rs 10,20,30. There are big shops as well as local shops selling books of almost all the types including textbooks, novels, magazines, school books, college books, stationary, vintage novels and what not. Daryaganj book bazaar is a paradise for book lovers. It is the perfect market to visit in Delhi when you want to fill up your bookshelves with books from all the genres. So, if you are from Delhi or a visitor to Delhi, make sure to take a tour to Daraganj market in Old Delhi. It is very close to Chandni Chowk market in Old Delhi. Book lovers, watch this video and promise me that you would be buying your next set of books from the Sunday book market at Daryaganj. How to reach Daryaganj Book Market? This market is set up only on Sundays and it starts early in the morning. The nearest metro station is either Chawri Bazaar or Chandni Chowk metro station. You can either take a rickshaw or cab from the metro station. It’s good that the market is open only on Sundays because other shops are closed which means you would easily find parking space near the market. This book market starts from Asaf Ali Road and ends towards Netaji Subash Marg. It’s close to the Delite Cinema. Go there early in the morning because you can get the best deals in the morning. Once you are done with the book and stationary shopping, do visit Parathewali Gali for your breakfast. New Video every Tuesday & Friday! My Visit To Vaishno Devi Temple | Patnitop in Jammu & Kashmir | Travel Vlog | DesiGirl Traveller

10:51
Vaishno Devi Temple is one of the holiest places of India. This temple is located in Katra, which falls in the Jammu region of the northern most state of Jammu & Kashmir. I recently went to this temple and have vlogged throughout my journey from Delhi to Patnitop to Katra to the temple. You can reach at this temple by completing a trek of 12 kms up in the hills. You can even take horses, ponies, helicopters or stairs to reach to the temple if you are unable to do the trek. This place is full of positivity and you will also feel a different aura altogether while doing this trek. The best time to visit to Vaishno Devi temple is from October to July. This place is easily accessible by air, train or road. The nearest airport is Jammu, which is well connected to New Delhi, Pune, Chennai and many other major cities of India. You can even take the bus to Katra from New Delhi, Chandigarh etc. More videos from Jaipur: My Visit to Amer Fort: https://bit.ly/2KV9x7i Jaipur Food: https://bit.ly/2ILJtij Jaipur Shopping: https://bit.ly/2KVaDzW Jaipur Travel Vlog: https://bit.ly/2KXFcVB Bapu Bazaar: https://bit.ly/2sD5hD1 New Video every Tuesday & Friday! 11:26
Agra is a synonym to Taj Mahal, but did you guys also know Agra is also home to leather shops? The largest shoes manufacturing industry in Asia and the Government leather institute both are located in Agra. Be it leather boots, belts, bags, slipper, jackets, gloves or anything made of leather. Agra has markets where you can get some of the best deals on leather goods. So, in this video, I have explored Sadar Bazaar of Agra which is the most famous and highly reputed market of the Taj Mahal city to buy leather items. Location and timing – This market is located very close to the Taj Mahal and Agra cantt Railway Station. It opens at 11 o clock in the morning and remains open till 11 o clock at night. This market is open 6 days a week except Sundays. Sadar Bazaar market is one of the most famous markets of Agra. It is very crowded and you will see streets here filled with locals and foreigners looking for buying leather goods and bargaining on the price. Best Places to buy – Although there are many leather shops in the market, a few of the shops are worth visiting. A store named Taj Leather World and TFS outlet is located in the market. They are reasonable and offers good quality products. A few tips to shop in this market: 1. There are a few men at the extreme end of the market selling womens’ leather boots on thelas. If you’re lucky, you’ll get something unique and chic in your size. 2. Have your bargaining game on point. Always bargain before making the final call. 3. Avoid going shopping with drivers or guides at they tend to get heavy commissions, making your items costly So, guys, that was all from the famous Sadar Bazaar Market of Agra city. When you visit Agra to enjoy the beauty of Taj Mahal, don’t forget to explore this market. It won’t leave you disappointed. New Video every Tuesday & Friday! Spiti Valley Road Trip | Reached Kaza in Spiti Crossing Kunzum Pass | DesiGirl Traveller

13:32
I recently travelled to Spiti Valley from Delhi taking Manali route. This is the part 2 of my vlogs on Spiti Valley Tour. We had reached till Gramphoo crossing Marhi and Rogtang Pass. In this vlog, we are travelling from Gramphoo to Kaza in Spiti Valley. Kaza is the headquarter of Spiti. Since we have taken Manali route to reach Spiti Valley, we have crossed Chhatru, Batal, Kuzum Pass, Losar Village and then reached Kaza by night. In order to reach Kaza, we have crossed two Pass through Manali route – Rohtang pass and Kunzum pass. Rohtang Pass (3980 Mtrs) is the first pass to enter Lahaul Valley from Kullu Valley and then we crossed Kunzum Pass (4551 Mtrs) to enter Spiti Valley from Lahaul Valley. Running over these passes was an amazing feeling in itself. Here are a few details about the routes with several stopovers: 1. Rohtang Top to Gramphoo - Gramphoo is 15 kms downhill from Rohtan. In fact, Gramphoo is the place from where one road goes to Lahaul-Spiti valley and another goes to Leh-Ladakh. From here the next destination is Chhatru and the roads from Gramphoo to Chhatru passes through Chandra river. After crossing Chhatru village, Chandra River looks even wider and bigger. 2. Chhatru to Kunzum Pass – Travelling to 17 kms ahead from Gramphoo, we reached Chatru village. It is the next village from Gramphoo towards Kunzum Pass and located at an altitude of 3300 metres from the sea level. This is the place where you would receive last signal in your phone (that too if you are lucky. I lost network connectivity the moment I crossed Marhi before reaching Rohtang Pass) 3. Chhatru to Batal - Batal is a very important halt en route Kaza. . There is a diversion road at Batal, one leads to Kunzum Pass and another leads to Chandratal Lake. Batal is located at an altitude of 3910 metres and it is located in a very hostile terrain. This place remains inhabited for almost six months from April end to October end. We even had lunch at Chacha-Chachi Dhaba in Batal and clicked some amazing pictures. 4. Batal to Kunzum Pass – It takes almost an hour to reach Kunzum Pass from Batal. The total driving distance is of 15 Kms. You will see beautiful Tibetan flags all around the Kunzum Temple. Kunzum is the high mountain pass on the eastern Kunzum Range of the Himalayas on an altitude of 15000+ ft (15059 Ft). It connects the Kullu Valley and Lahaul Valley with the Spiti Valleyor in other words Kunzum pass cuts Lahaul from Spiti. 5. Kunzum to Losar Village – Losar village is the place from where Spiti Valley starts officially. The total driving distance from Kumzum to Losar is of 16 kms. (Distance – 16 kilometeres). It is said that your visit to Lahaul and Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh is incomplete if you have not taken a halt in Losar. This place has a Ladakh like landscape. 6. Losar to Kaza – The total driving distance if 51 kilimeters and it took us good 3-4 hours to reach kaza in Spiti valley from Lozar village. Kaza is the headquarters of Spiti valley and the commercial center but surprisingly there isn’t much to see within this small town. I will continue about Kaza in the next vlogs….☺ Don’t forget to check my next vlogs as I would be doing a series of vlogs on Spiti Valley. I am back from Spiti but I feel my heart is still there. Ranikhet Hotels | Traveling to Uttrakhand | Weekend Trip From Delhi

11:30
I recently took a break from the work and went to Ranikhet for a short vacation. I feel, there is nothing called as ‘break’ in a Youtuber’s life. For an example, I was still shooting this vlog when I thought I was on a vacation and have taken a break from work. So, this vlog is more of a relaxing tone and not full of information regarding the destination. However, I have provided information about all the places I visited and stayed at. Here is a little bit about Ranikhet – a beautiful hill station in Uttrakhand, India. Located at an elevation of 1829m above the sea level, Ranikhet also known as Queen’s Meadow is a place is a hill station in the Almora district of Uttrakhand, which you must visit when you are in a mood to just relax and spend time in a peaceful surrounding. This small hill station that was built up by British is surrounded with nature’s enviable beauty. How this place got its name has a tiny story related to it. It is said that a lovely Indian Queen visited this hilly area surrounded by Himalayas and got mesmerised with the natural beauty surrounding it. And hence the name Queen’s Meadow or Ranikhet came into existence. Every year, a number of tourists visit Ranikhet. Although, this hill station attracts tourists from all over India throughout the year, the best time to visit Ranikhet is summer if you love adventure, winter if you love snowfall, and Monsoon if you are a die-hard rain lover like me :) I visited Ranikhet during the Monsoon time. Although, I travelled throughout the city, I chose to stay in Majkhali – a place 100 Kms away from Jim Corbett and just half an hour drive from Ranikhet. I loved my stay at Roseville Cottage. Indeed, it was a relaxing trip. The two caretakers at the cottage took very good care of me. The service, neatness, food, weather, everything was just perfect. Here is the link to the cottage in case you would like to check it out: http://www.rosevillecottage.com/ I also tried Organic Uttrakhandi food at a restaurant called ‘The Pahadi’ restaurant on the way to Ranikhet. http://www.thepahadiorganic.com/ Overall, it was an amazing experience. Soon after i came back from Spiti valley trip and also Rohtang trip, I decided to stay in Manali for 1- 2 days and roam on the streets without having a fixed plan. It is also a best place to shop for bags, home décor items, export garments and random stuff. Sending Letter To My Love From World’s Highest Post Office | Spiti Valley Tour | DesiGirl Traveller

09:26
This is Part 5 of my Spiti Valley Tour video series. In this vlog, I have travelled to Hikkim, Komic and Langza in Spiti valley. Hikkim has the world’s highest post office with the Pin Code 172114. Hikkim has also been credited as world’s highest polling station, recorded in the Limca Book of Record as well. Located at an altitude of 14400 ft, this post office has been functioning from November 5, 1983 in Lahual Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. An absolutely must do thing in Hikkim village is visit this post office and send a post card to your loved ones, because you don’t get to send its not everyday that you get to send a post card from the highest post office in the world. Initially, Hikkim post office PIN code 172114 — processed only half a dozen letters or postcards in a day. However, in the last couple of years, it has been dealing with 300 letters and postcards in a day during summer season. This world’s highest post office is what that connects small village Hikkim in Spiti to the rest of the world. After sending letters to a few of my subscribers, I went to Komic village, which also has the World’s highest restaurant. I had lunch here (noodles and sandwiches) good enough to help me survive the cold and high altitude sickness. After having my lunch at Komic (also said to be world’s highest village), I went to Langza to feel awestruck looking at the giant golden statue of Lord Buddha. Langza village is situated at an altitude of 4400 meters. It has a population of approximately 137 people. You will notice a huge Golden coloured Buddha statue as soon as you enter Langza region in Spiti valley. This statue is believed to be around 1000 Years old. All the houses in the village are built below this statue. Langza Village is mainly dominated by the statue of Lord Buddha overlooking the valley, an ancient monastery, and mud houses that you can see during your visit in the village. With every vlog I have done in Spiti Valley in Himachal, I say this: Spiti is not a place, it’s a feeling. Spiti is Love. Make sure to watch my previous 3 videos from Spiti series. Chandratal Lake In Spiti Valley | Best 7 Days Of My Life | DesiGirl Traveller

15:35
In this video, I have visited Chandratal Lake from my campsite in Kaza. On the way, I crossed Chicham Bridge, which is also known as Asia’s highest bridge, Losar village that is also called as the first village of Spiti Valley. Chandratal lake or Chandrataal lake meaning the lake of the moon is a sweet water lake. Its name originates from its crescent shape. Chandrataal lake is 1 km long and half km wide. The official name of this lake is ‘Chandrataal Wetland’. This lake is accessible only during the summer months i.e. June, July, August and September, and for the rest of the year the lake remains frozen. As per the legends, it is the spot from where Lord Indra took the eldest Pandava brother, Yudhishtra in his human form to Swarga, in his chariot. People of the surrounding villages believe that fairies visit this lake during midnight. The most interesting part of this lake is that it looks quite differently during different times of day. When I visited it in the afternoon, lake water was crystal blue in colour. The real charm of Chandratal lake is in the early morning when water is more still and light is just perfect for water to reflect the surrounding mountains. Chandratal is one of the wetlands in country, which have been included in Ramsar Convention. Therefore, no activity is allowed around the lake. Camping sites are good 3 kilometres away from the lake. With every vlog I have done in Spiti Valley in Himachal, I say this: Spiti is not a place, it’s a feeling. Spiti is Love. Make sure to watch my previous videos from Spiti series. What I Did At A Village Of 190 Population | Pin Valley | Mudh Village | Spiti Trip

16:38
This video is 3rd one from my series on Spiti Valley Tour. I have visited Pin Valley, Mudh Village and Kaza Market in this travel video on Spiti. As you watched me reaching Kaza travelling from Manali, crossing Rohtang Pass, Gramphoo, Chhatru, Batal, Kunzum Pass, and Losar (first village of Spiti valley). Pin valley is again a beautiful place to visit in Lahaul & Spiti district of Himachal Praadesh. This valley is formed by Pin River. There are 17 villages in the periphery of Pin valley national park. This place is also home to Snow leopards and every year thousands of tourists come to Spiti in winter to see snow leopards. The total population of Pin Valley is 1500 to 1600. Most of the population belongs to the Buddhist community. Thus, you will see many monasteries in Lahual& Spiti region that includes Pin valley too. A famous Bollywood movie “Paap” was shot entirely in Pin valley. You can see the beauty of Spiti valley in the song “Intezaar’ from the movie Paap. The distance to travel from Kaza (Spiti Valley) to Pin Valley is 52 kilometers. Roads are not very smooth for driving. I took a halt at the Tailing Bridge in Pin valley. Tailing is also a village where the population is just 200. I travelled further to Mudh Village from the tailing bridge. Mudh village is the last village of Pin valley with a mere population of 192. The total distance from the bridge to Mud village is 6 kilometer. There are many homestays and cafes in Mudh village and people stop by here for lunch. The houses in Mud village are made of mud and painted in white. They have red window paint, which is typical Spitian style of the houses. You will spot Tibetan prayer flags on each and every house. This emphasis the Buddhist influence in the region. After Mudh village, I went to Kaza Market and did some handicraft shopping. Also had icre-cream and brownie at Himalayan café in Kaza market. ☺ With every vlog I have done in Spiti Valley in Himachal, I say this: Spiti is not a place, it’s a feeling. Spiti is Love. Do check out my previous 2 vlogs on Spiti from this series. 1st vlog (Delhi to Manali to Rohtang pass): https://bit.ly/2xCTl5G 2nd Vlog (Rohtang Pass to Kunzum pass to Kaza in Spiti Valley): https://bit.ly/2NvrleW I am back from Spiti but I feel my heart is still there. Why Is Key Monastery in Spiti Unique | Spiti Valley Tour | Desi Girl Traveller

13:31
This video is part 4 of my Spiti Valley Tour series. I have travelled to Key monastery from Kaza in this video. Part 1 has my journey from Delhi to Manali to Gramphoo, Part 2 has journey from Gramphoo to Kaza, Part 3 has things I did at Pin Valley and Mudh Village in Spiti, and Part 4 (this vlog) has me exploring the 1000 years old monastery in Spiti – Key Monastery. Check out the Part 1,2, and 3 vlogs. links given below. This monastery is also known as Key Gompa and it is said to be the biggest monastery in the entire Spiti valley. This place also works as a training centre for Lamas. It is said that the Key monastery was founded in 1008 AD. It later got destroyed due to several earthquakes. Today, it has been redesigned and restored and till look magnificent like its original structure. Key Monastery is located at a distance of 16 kms from Kaza and it took us 1.5 hours to travel from Kaza to the Monastery. I have also featured a few locals in this video. I talked to local people of Spiti and also lived my days like locals of Spiti. With every vlog I have done in Spiti Valley in Himachal, I say this: Spiti is not a place, it’s a feeling. Niagara Falls Of India | Exploring Chattisgarh with Female Travellers | Sirpur, Chitrakote

13:53
In this vlog, I have explored Chhattisgarh with a bunch of female travellers. I booked the trip though a travel Startup named ‘Wovoyage’. I started around 4 in the morning from New Delhi, took a flight to Raipur and from there, we travelled in a mini traveller bus. The places we visited in Chattsgarh are Sirpur (Surang Tila, Laxman temple, Buddha Vihar, excavation site etc), Chitrakote, Titarthgarh, Tribe Haat Bazaar, and Gangrel. I am releasing Chattisgrah vlogs in 2 parts. So, remember to check out part 2 in the next few days. Here is a little detail about the places I visited: 1. Sirpur – Once the capital of the Sarbhapuriya, and Somvanshi Kings of Dakshin (South) Kosala, Chhattisgarh is a land rich in culture, architecture, art and history! An important Buddhist centre from 6th to 10th century A.D, it was visited by Hieun Tsan, the 7th Century Chinese Pilgrim and Scholar. Lord Buddha’s gracious presence still makes every soul in wandering find his path to Nirvana here. The beauty of this magical place has beckoned the presence of His Holiness Dalai Lama too in March 2013. A nondescript town perched on the banks of Mahanadi River; Sirpur has always been an international highlight due to its breathtaking excavations and rare archeological findings. Unmatched stone carvings, along with 22 Shiva temples, 4 Vishnu temples, 10 Buddha Viharas, and 3 Jain Viharas, an Ayurveda treatment centre, underground granary marketand sixth century ‘Ayurvedic Snaan Kund’ (an ancient spa) 2. Laxman Temple: relive history and let art steal your breath away as you visit one of India’s finest brick temples ever created, the magnificent Laxman Temple. A remarkable product of unique symmetry, precise construction and exquisite carvings, the Laxman Temple is a portrayal of ageless art and devotion. Explore Indian mythology as the beautiful Sheshnaag serving as an umbrella to Lord Shiva catches your attention at the entrance. The ‘Panchrath’ type temple boasts of a Mandap (shelter), Antraal (passage), and the Garbha Griha (the main house).Exquisite carving work on pillars depicting religious segments like Vatayan, Chitya Gawaksha, Bharwahakgana, Aja, Kirtimukha and Kama Amalak breathe life into the exterior walls of the temple. The many incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Krishna Leela ornamental symbols, and erogenous pictures give the temple a uniquely sacrosanct appeal. It feels as if the walls, pillars and arches are telling the stories of Gods that hailed the rich land. Inside the main house sits a beautifully crafted statue of the Naagraj. 3. Buddha Vihara: The rising popularity of Sirpur can be accredited to the various Buddhist excavations discovered here. Truly blessed with secenic beauty, the Buddha Vihara exudes warmth and portrays religious harmony. Brick constructions and underground rooms stand testimony to mystical era. The tone blend reminds us of the Gupta dynasty’s temple and residential buildings. Witness unmatched design and architectural brilliance as you come across the six feet tall statue of Buddha touching the earth and let mystery enchant you as many residential, meditation and study rooms give you a glimpse of the Lord’s long lived glory. The Buddha Vihara iis also a meeting point of Awlokiteshar and Makarvahini Gange. The Buddha Vihara flaunts wonderful inscriptions which reveal that the ardent Buddha follower Bhikshu Anandprabhu created the shelter during the period of Mahashivgupt Balarjun. 14 marvelous rooms have been built in the Vihara having welcome gates with Dwarpals on either side carved in stone pillars.Buddha Vihara found here is believed to be four times larger than the famed Nalanda university in Bihar, which is quite an important discovery. 4. Chitrakote Waterfall – This spot is my favourite among all I visited in Chattisgarh. Chitrakote Waterfall is in Bastar district, where a majority of tribe populations of the sate live. It is also known as the Niagara Falls of India since it’s the biggest waterfall of the country. Situated in Jagdalpur, this spectacular waterfall changes its color from season to season. It is calm white in summers as it changes color to brown in monsoon. Budget Travelling In Jaipur | Cheap And Clean Hostels | Backpacking In Rajasthan

14:03
I recently went to Jaipur, the Pink City or India, the capital city of Rajasthan. This time I did backpacking in Jaipur and stayed at one of the best backpackers hostels in Jaipur called THE HOSTELLER. This trip from Delhi to Jaipur by road was super fun as I got to travel with many other travel bloggers. We started from Delhi at around 11 AM and reached Jaipur at 7-8 PM. We had a traditional Rajasthani welcome at the hostel with rajasthani folk song, dance and food. Next day, we went on exploring Jaipur in a limited time and budget. The laces I visited in just Rs 500 include Bapur Bazaar, Badi Chaupad, Johri Bazaar, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh fort, Galtaji Temple, Birla Temple, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar etc. I loved my budget stay at The Hosteller in Jaipur. This hostel is simply superb and provides everything that one could look for in order to travel Jaipur.
